#1088Sat on this all day. Decided to go.
CORVALLIS REGIONAL: Oregon State -5.5 [-125]
Fry goes for OSU with his 1.43 ERA and sub .200 BAA. North Dakota State just isn't in the same class. Ernst has a 3.70 ERA and .288 BAA. Not over powering and gives up a lot of hits. With the Beavers getting their full deck back offensively, I think they roll tonight.

#1094I see the juice got ridiculous on the Under overnight and Bethune Cookman is down to +170 and +1.5 now. Always interesting to see them scrambled to change the lines up. Going to look over the rest of the card now and see what's what.Comment -

#1097HOUSTON REGIONAL: George Mason +2.5 [-115]
The Patriots meet Texas A&M in an elimination game. Mason starts Montefusco, while A&M counters with Grayson Long. Montefusco put up solid numbers with a 1.96 ERA/.257 BAA. He will give up hits, but has been great at stranding runners. He also pitches from a 3/4 arm slot that can add some deception to his pitches. Long comes in with a 3.07 ERA/.277 BAA. He's also going to give up hits, so this game will come down to offensive execution. The Aggies have been an inconsistent mess most of the year and down the stretch, they have had issues putting up enough runs againat quality pitching. Mason isn't a juggernaut on offense, but they do have an experienced lineup. Mason should be feeling good despite their loss to Rice as they stuck with the top seed toe for toe until Gaynor ran out of steam. A&M should be shaky after losing big to rival Texas and again starting a weekend off with a loss. Both bullpens have some good pieces with A&M having more flexibility. Imperative for Mason to get out of the gates without being damaged early by the A&M bats. If they can score first, that would be LARGE and put even more pressure on the Aggies.Comment -

#1100This is going to be a terrible beat on the under. Alabama hit two batters, walked another and now FSU has them loaded with no outs. If I'm going to lose because of their shit ... I hope FSU beats them.
At least Bethune-Cookman was an easy, pz play today. Took the less aggressive approach with the spread, but they are cruising 6-0. Nice +200 dog cashing for someone.Comment -

#1106CORVALLIS REGIONAL: North Dakota State +3.5 [-135]
The Bison will be buoyed by how well they hung with top seed Oregon State, despite a disappointing 2-1 loss. Their offense was handcuffed by a superb performance from Andrew Moore. They should have more opportunity today against UNLV. The Rebels were routed by UC-Irvine, 10-3. They turn to Bryan Bonnell on the mound. He is 6-5 with a 3.01 ERA/.248 BAA. He's not overpowering and gives up nearly a hit per inning. NDST turns to their best in Parker Trewin. The lefty is 7-2 with a 2.58/.232 BAA. Both bullpens are rested with starters in Game 1s going deep. Vegas gets the slight edge in relief due to Torres their closer, who they could turn to early if Bonnell struggles in this elmination format. UNLV has the more potent offense, but it's been an inconsistent one. NDST will hope the southpaw can negate some of the Rebels' big bats like Armstrong.Comment -

#1110Okay Internet access back and normal now. So I can actually do some research. Trying two dogs this evening. Two rock solid pitching match-ups, so the games should be close and both will have legit shots to win.
FT.WORTH REGIONAL: Sam Houston State +240
CHARLOTTESVILLE REGIONAL: Arkansas +180
Jason Simms goes for Sam Houston, while Preston Morrison starts for TCU. Morrison has been absolutely brilliant with a microscopic ERA of 1.25/.200 BAA. He tosses a CG in the B12 tournament in a 6-2 TCU win. Simms is solid with a 2.72 ERA/.230 BAA. Both teams played 2-1 games on Friday and will be used to the pitcher's duel set-up this one appears to be. Sam Houston has experience in this setting and has beaten the Horned Frogs this year already. Arkansas goes with their Friday ace in Trey Killian. He's solid with a 2.18 ERA/.211 ERA. Virginia goes with ace Nathan Kirby with his 1.48 ERA/.180 BAA. His last two starts, he's pitched great - but the bullpen has yacked up some late runs. Both teams do have quality pens overall and do have their limitations offensively. UVA got a much needed offensive outburst against Bucknell yesterday, but this team struggled down the stretch, losing 4/6 to end the season/ACC tournament. Both play alot of close games, so taking +1.5 is a good option too IMO. Same with Sam Houston. I'm going to be aggressive here though. Split and profit.

#1111North Dakota State another easy spread winner, losing 2-1 ... but covering the +3.5 easily. George Mason trying to hang in there with the spread right now ...
Took some guesswork on that Miss State-Jackson State Over since I was trying to find info on my phone with a shotty Internet connection. Right now, looks poor.Comment -

#1112HOUSTON REGIONAL: Rice -135
The top seeded Rice Owls take on Texas. The Owls put their ace, Blake Fox, out on the hill. He was stellar this season at 12-0 with a 1.38 ERA/.229 BAA. He's not a power guy, he just pitches well and mixes it up. Texas puts Freshman Parker French on the mound. French was rock solid at 5-5 with a 2.61 ERA/.237 BAA. He got beat up in his last appearance out of the bullpen in the B12 Championship Game where he gave up the three runs that would decide it in just 1 IP. He had pitched well in relief earlier in the tournament after Peters was injured with a four inning scoreless stint against Oklahoma State. Still, he's a Freshman and inconsistent. Walks were a big issue when he got into trouble. Texas took 2/3 when these teams met in the regular season, but most were mid-week games where we did not get to see the best pitchers each time. Texas has not seen Fox yet. Offensively, the Owls hit better with a .294 team BA and Texas at around .267 with 65 less runs scored entering the weekend. Both teams will play small ball when they can, especially Texas. If French is wild, look for Rice to take advantage early and let Fox do his thing. Both bullpens are solid and versatile, so it will be tough for either team to have to rally for multiple runs late.Comment -

#1113No chance for the Miss State over. Holder in way early won't give up anything and Miss State can't do dikk. Mason blew the spread. Erg. Totals not kind to me so far this weekend. I blame Alabama for that putrid 9th inning, seems to have tainted the totals.Comment -

#1117Probably should have had the guts to play more Unders with the pitching match-ups today instead of going aggressive on those MLs, but it is what it is.
CORVALLIS REGIONAL: Oregon State-UC Irvine Under 6.5 [+110]
Fry goes for OSU. Surrey for Irvine. Oregon State has not scored more than three runs in eight straight games. Surrey is a good lefty who can keep them off balance. Fry is just flat out nasty with a 1.43 ERA/.192 BAA. The Anteaters - yesterday's 10 run outburst withstanding, generally struggle for runs with only 253 scored this season. Been cold on totals, so be advised if you wanna fade.

#1118Well Sam Houston pieced something together to tie it at 2. Hate rooting against my Alma Mater, but $ is $.
Still think TCU is probably gonna find a way to scratch it out ... as I say that, they get a base runner after a strikeout. Miscues gonna cost Sam Houston again perhaps.Comment -
