San Diego starts their closer. If UCLA gets him early, should be some runs.

Fullerton Regional: Fullerton State -2.5 [+105]
Eshelman for Fullerton. Another fabulous Freshman. McCreery for ASU. The lefty walks too many batters and should offer Fullerton chances to put runs on the board. Big question is can Fullerton finally get the big hits that have eluded them in this Regional? I think good pitching will keep ASU at-bay, so Fullerton should have a shot to pop off to a decent lead and try to hold the Sun Devils off.

Well Arkansas with the double screwjie ... blew a lead late and K-State wins the Regional to extinguish that future. Bright side, two of the three futures will have hedge opps on Monday. Oregon v. Rice & Miss. State v. C.Arkansas. San Diego must have gone to sleep after they beat Cal Poly. No offense, no chance for the over.

Ballgame, South Carolina wins. Parlay complete. Webb made it interesting, but was able to close it out after giving up a run in the 9th.

As for the futures tonight, Got the NOT Mississippi State winning for one unit to yield +280. MSU ML is -325, so I don't really see the point hedging. Could go for 1.62 to win 0.5 to negate some of the loss if State wins, but I'm just gonna let it ride.

For Oregon-Rice. It's -240 Oregon. Can go 1.20 units to win a half unit that would even out the original bet if Oregon wins and cut the profit if Rice wins in half, but it's a no lose situation that makes sense.

                June 3rd
Chapel Hill Regional: Florida Atlantic TT Over 2.5 [-135]
FAU was dominated by Hobbs Johnson through six last night, but their perseverance kept them in the game and a three run bomb late provided them an improbable win. They drew six walks, so showing patience even when the hits are not found - is big and they will need that approach again tonight. They face Chris Munnelly. The senior has been rock solid, but has done more work out of the bullpen this year as the #4 starter. His last start was against Florida State for the last regular season game. He only made it through 4 IP. Believe the Heels are looking for about the same before turning it over to the pen. I think the Owls active bats are going to produce some runs tonight with the Heels needing to mentally be in charge from the opening pitch and not thinking about last year's upset at the hands of St.John's in this same sort of scenario.

                Georgia Tech +365
Momentum is a helluva thing and Tech has it. An unlikely four run 9th inning in Game 1 to stave off elimination over Illinois on Sunday and then a CG shutout by Josh Heddinger over the same Vanderbilt squad they face tonight. Tech goes with senior Buck Farmer to start. He pitched on Saturday, but threw just 58 pitches when his outing was stopped short by rain. That blessing in disguise gives the Jackets their ace on the mound to start. I think that is a big psychological boost and allows them to work their relief corps better after Farmer exits. The Jackets have some options for long relief, so if Farmer doesn't have it - look for a quick hook. Vandy goes with Pecoraro or Pfeifer. Both guys are very hittable with BAAs over .270. Given Tech's potent lineup, they'll be expecting to put runs on the board. Expect the bullpens to be involved for both clubs. Vandy holds an edge there, but if Tech goes off on the starter early - the edge is negated some. Tech's pen has been reliable in Nashville, but is better towards the back-end still. I think with the pitching to start and both offenses capable, this is close to 50-50 than the odds suggest and I'm going aggressive and taking the ML here. I think Tech +2.5 @ +100 is also a pretty nice shot.

Yeah. I am hoping they win or Central Arkansas wins to cash one of those futures.

One of the dogs (Rice, Ga.Tech or FAU) should win based on history. A national seed has lost in the Regionals I think just about every year since they started this format. That would mean Rice, FAU or Ga.Tech wins. #1s and #2s overall though rarely lose which makes it interesting - last #1 to lose in the Regionals was Vanderbilt in 2007. North Carolina's choke last year as a #6 could be trumped by losing as the #1. Oregon is the last national Seed at #8.

Money aside, I think Central Arkansas wins. Ga. Tech wins or loses very late. FAU scares UNC, but the Heels find a way today and unfortunately, I think Oregon wins. Rice's offense just has not been good enough and Oregon found theirs yesterday.

Farmer definitely doesn't have a whole lot to give, but he's gutting out some innings. 2-0 Vandy in the 3rd. Just need to keep it within a few runs like this and hope Tech's bats come up with some big hits.

Well Ga.Tech just doesn't have anything left. Bright side is FAU just needs one more run and it evens those two bets out. Central Ark down early and blew a big chance to get back into the game.

Well great start for Rice. 3 in the 1st inning. More than they have scored in the last two games combined. They started their closer, Zach Lemond. Need to shut down Oregon early.

3-2 Rice in the 2nd. Hopefully they steady up with the pitching now. Really think they're going to need to score some more too. Doesn't look like Central Arkansas is going to push Miss. State. Errors killing them like it had killed MSU when they met before.

7-2 Rice in the 3rd. Long way to go. But if you told me they score 7 today, I'd say they win 9/10. And dumb ass me lost track of time and forgot to hedge on the Oregon ML.

FAU cutting it close now. Two ABs left and still need a damn run.

FAU blew it. 2nd & 3rd with one out and couldn't get a run home. Barring a solo jack in the 9th, it's going to be a run short on the TT.

Babe Ruthed that bitch! Solo Jack in the 9th and the TT cashes. So all even on the bets for tonight. Now it's up to Rice to make the futures profitable. 7-3 after 4. Even thought it's comfortable now, I want more runs Owls!

UNC f-ing around again late and has allowed FAU to put the tying run up at the plate.

Now bases loaded ... one out. 6-3 Carolina leads ...

FAU three run dong in the 12th! All came with two outs, a hit batter and a walk to set up the HR. Wow. Think you're done now Heels. Choke City Part 2.
