Accuscore MLB Pick System

Hey there Skware, what filters are you using? It looks like dogs above 50% Sim rate with a + difference against the Vegas Win %. Are there any other criteria?

No NCAAFB Favs met the system filters we use with MLB, but the Dogs today did -
Even or better, SIM50% or better, Diff+7 or better
Used your Side Value calculator

Since only 2 MLB picks today and it was off this threads topic I wrote "Option". I liked what the Accuscore system revealed.

I also compared the ML to the Spread (ie. +1.5 converts to +101, +3 converts to +135 & +4.5 converts to +192), and decided to bet the Spread. Expected outcome 2 - 1

BTW CatPulp, I'm involved in a daily contest minimum of 3 wagers which is why if we get less than 3 picks with this system I choose a 3rd *filter off. Yesterday I didn't trust SEA (ranked 28 awful) but wanted to maintain this system and hedged ATL.

Oh right, I completely understand the hedge. It makes sense to me now.
Also, thanks for explaining your filters for NCAAF - which coincidentally are not too dissimilar to the ones we use for MLB.
If you could please keep a record of your bets for NCAAF dogs, that would be awesome.
As a matter of fact, has anyone kept a record for MLB dogs within our system? I would be very curious to see those numbers.

Do you use the Accuscore to calculate over/under probabilities? It can do that too. Also, are the filters you use really necessary? What's wrong with betting on heavy favorites as long as they are tagged by Accuscore as more likely to win than the moneyline odds suggest?

Yesterday, Baltimore Orioles were the favorite to win against the Tampa Bay for Accurescore and they were +140 on the bookies.

I suggest to use accuscore for side betting only. They're awful in totals.

I'm thinking about playing differently from now on. I noticed that most of the underdogs were winning recently, so I only select Accurescore underdogs favorite. When you bet only on favorite you need to win at least 4 games out of 6 to make money if the odd is arround 1,50, on the other side, if you bet on underdogs, depending on the odd (arround 2,10) you only need 3 picks out of 6 to make money. Plus you'll always make more money with your underdogs than with your favorite. I feel really bad when I bet on a favorite team and they loose, while when an underdog loose, I just think I's ok as they were likely to loose.

i ran the numbers for betting underdogs since chaz started posting the chart on august 5th

these are the filters i used

underdogs of +100 or better
underdog must be at least 50% to win by accuscore
accurscore % must be 7% or better than vegas %
