List of undisputed idiot managers in baseball

    I'll start:

    Gibson, Arizona
    Baker, Cincinnati
    Scioscia, Anaheim
    Manuel, Philly

Good luck betting on these teams when the games get tight and they have to actually make decisions.

Bob Melvin and Bruce Bochy are some of the best. He'll, Bochy took the Padres to the World Series one year.

But yeah, I agree with that list.

I'd take Melvin, Bochy and Maddon any day of the week. In fact, I'm not sure my personal list of "elite" managers would go much beyond that.

Can't believe I forgot about Maddon.

Washington is really bad too. He lost two World Series to lesser talented teams but those teams were managed a lot better.

Larussa was a tad overrated but he was still a good manager.

    If I can include inactives...

Every manager of the Baltimore Orioles after Davey Johnson and before Buck Showalter.

You nailed the dumbest 4 active managers though!

Dusty Baker is the luckiest man alive. His teams have been winning in the regular season for years inspite of him. He's the worst manager ever.

Ron Washington- managed perhaps the most talented teams the past few years and no championship to show for it. A decent manager would have won back to back championships. Guy should have been let go after last year's meltdown.
