Oh okay...so the Men Wearing Orange totally messed with the matchups with last minute changes and now Lyles is facing Eovaldi...that's not what I intended to spend my money on. I wanted Winckowski vs Lyles...

#282Looking ahead to tomorrow I am filling purchase orders for Roansy Contreras (Coffee Cakes) as he faces the Fathers. The Fathers haven't fared well against righties this year and oddly enough Contreras is on less than 20% of rosters in leagues; making him the streaming POD. I hope that his command is a bit better and his debut's erratic nature was just the product of nerves. Let's just say that in a perfect world he comes out there and shuts down the Fathers and I start making plans to cash out immediately.
Jose Berrios (Jays) is the Great Undulater. Keep starting the man, even if it's against the tough Halo's offense. I am going to buck my trend of taking an OVER when two of my top tier offensive 7 face one another. I've been slightly overrating the Jays offense in the opening weeks of the year which makes a date with the Jays a little easier for Patrick Sandoval (Halos).
Triston McKenzie is back on Sunday. Don't overthink this. Just start the man.
Despite facing the Bombers, it's hard to argue against Shane McClanahan (Rays) coming in #2 in my rankings. He's been Money McShane all year. On the other side is Severino (Bombers); who hasn't been a locked in as I want him to be, but began earning whiffs with his slider last start, and could have found a new gear.I'm letting him loose everywhere.
No brainer Corbin Burnes (Brews) slides in at #1Comment -

#289Should Contreras pull this off today I am cashing out that $2300 gain immediately. No one has him in the universe except me!He is on LESS than 20% of the rosters (14%). His line went even higher after the Coffee Cakes beat the Fathers last night!
I am no fool however-I did roster up with MacKenzie Gore too as he's been dealt a matchup against the Coffee Cakes and things should go well in his favor. This is MLB and anything can happen. The payout kind of sucks for this arbitrage move with is side of the matter-I just don't like to take a complete loss whenever I can manage not to do so. I learned this quite a long time ago. #296There are still some beers left in the fridge!
As far as my rankings for today-they are sparse. A lot of teams are starting AAA farmhands and some preferred under situations are in over parks; and some over situations are in under parks. Scheduled starters have been dismissed today so those that I ranked will probably be going tomorrow or Wednesday.
My number one Walker Buehler is out of the purchase point that I look for so I am rolling with him in fantasy only. The same for Framber Valdez as well.
Anyway here it is

#297Nick Martinez with the 5 innings of work and 2 K's and 2 BB and more runs to cross the plate. Demotion is forthcoming to the second tier. I only started him in two leagues yet this is still not what I expected out of him against a pitcher in Naughton who everyone on this side of the universe knew wouldn't make it through the first five frames.Comment -

#300I have my top tier top ten together for tomorrow already and my POD will be slightly outside of the top tier in my search for value. My streaming pick of the day will be Devin Smeltzer. Devin is fresh off a strong seven inning performance and the Tigers are a solid team to stream against. Don't expect much for the long haul from Devin, yet and still this could work. he faces DNS arm Rony Garcia which the Twins should have good success against.
I am excited to watch the Gausman (#1)/Giolito 9#3) matchup tomorrow. As a result I am going to have to go with the UNDER FF on that one. the same could be said about one of my fantasy All Stars Frankie Montas (#4) vs Christian Javier(#6) which will also result in a move for the UNDER FF.
I will catch fire for this one as Michael Wacha (Red Sox)(DNS)will be favored over Castillo (Red Leggins)(#11) no doubt and that my friends will be a complete mistake by the line makers for the FF. The problem with this is Joey Votto and Wacha's penchant for giving up walks. expect to see the entire betting world on the Sox and I will be one of the few who goes with the Red Leggins. I my mind I can hear my Gramps voice saying "Your habits will fail you or carry you"Comment -

#307My reluctant POD streaming pick of the day tomorrow will be Dakota Hudson (Cardinals); who is a coin flip to me against the fathers. The Fathers haven't done well against righties this year and hopefully Hudson generates enough outs in the field with that wonderful Red Birds defense backing him to make this worthwhile.
I know, Carlos Rodon hasn't been great across his last 3 starts, yet here is at #2 for me again of Wednesday. I don't think his stuff has dramatically dipped during his performance valley and considering many in my top tier have their own warts/poor matchups recently, I'm going to still lean on Rodon and his talent. Facing Aaron Nola (#4) and the Blunts I am going to elect to go with the under FF to pair them up in this format.Comment -

#309I had a chance to think about it overnight and given the strength of the Blunts offense which is in my top 7 and the recent struggles of Rodon combined also with the fact that the Giants will have some carryover effect from last night. I have them ranked a a solid offense too. This leads to an over situation and that's how I will buck my own trend for that affair in this format.
Also I am utilizing my own creation from some years ago today in a pure sense -the Shutout System and rolling with the Rays. Springs isn't a DNS. He is in my second tier; ranked #11 right behind Carlos Carrasco and Jon Gray (Wanderers) is ranked at #15. It's a chance that I am willing to take.
Speaking of Carrasco-he broke into my top tier top ten today and based upon what I am seeing with the ML juice I will opt for the RL along with Cortes, Jr, and your favorite and mine Verlander .

#313For tomorrow; would you look at that, Sandy Alcantara takes the top spot for me. It's hard to deny the man after tossing 3 straight games of 8+ inning ball, fresh off a 14 K game. Wow! What a dude.
Rounding out my top tier are Alek Manoah and Ohtani. Spoiler alert! That means you start them and don't think about it! I'm also letting Alex Wood loose against the Fish even as bad as his 2022 has been so far. I dig the fact that he's at 92.8 mph with his sinker and his slider is still a solid offering. this should play out in his favor.
All of that leads to my POD for tomorrow Matthew Liberatore (Cardinals) who gets a middle ground offense to face in the Cubs and Keegan Thompson is a gas can next to a BBQ pit.
Load up managers and put this one on your rosters and yes you have permission to go after K'sComment -

#315Oh my goodness! Ober got lit up in the bottom of the 5th to snatch back the money! Rodon and Nola were cruising through the FF frames and then a 9 run explosion in the 6th which was one frame too late for this platform. I sort of knew that would happen-just bad timing and some collateral damage. No sweat. Those were some bad beats!Comment
