With Ohtani facing Cortes, Jr, as part of a double header today-my rankings are all messed up at the top tier with Taillon moving out of the 7th spot and Flexen and Kluber moving up a bit to make room for Cortes, Jr. and Alex Wood sliding down now to #6, Gonsolin to #7. Taillon ends up in my second tier now as the top gun followed by Faedo.

The surprising line of the day appears to be that of the Twins and Archer (#20) as a road favorite over the Tigers who are trotting out one of my fantasy young guns in Faedo (#12) who is right about at the top of my second tier. A gap in talent this large I have to exploit.

Those who have Ian Anderson on their rosters...sit him today at Coors Field!

I am seeing that in this format you may have losing days and not get killed in the process because of the quality of pitchers being utilized; and when a good day comes along and they are behaving a large day happens. I like that. I will continue running my top tier top 10 out there and live with the results-good bad or indifferent. there are days when I have a subpar day in this format and absolutely demolish the books in my fantasy leagues

So my #5 blasted my #3 and the money still kept flowing with Cortes, Jr. since he had a better price than Ohtani; who didn't make the five frames.

As far as Faedo he got a QS and in the end I took a bit of a loss on that one. Just waiting for Kluber to come through to push me up a notch in my leagues as the managers I am up against are number nerds! Egads!

The one that I am anxious to cash is Alex Wood. He was on less than 30% of rosters today; and although I also have Alcantara what a treat it would be for them to have a nice pitchers' duel today and both have a QS for the first five frames and keep the scoring to a minimum. Make it happen Alex! You got this!

Dang! this is one of those times when the the team looses the FF and then blasts the bullpen to take a late lead. Such is the case with the Tigers now up 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th and only needing a top frame to win it! Pissers!

Also it looks as if the Halos would be the move in Game 2 with Reid Detmers in the event they go on to be shutout against the Bombers. It would be a pure (A) play given the fact that they have a winning record. I've got my eye on this one

Okay looking ahead to tomorrow, if you have Gerritt Cole (#2)-just start the man in fantasy leagues on all platforms-no need to overthink this. I will not be making a move for him on this platform however as I won't go over -165 juice for anything. Ever.

My #1 Corbin Burnes is facing my #4 in Musgrove so the under is in order for that one. I would be overjoyed to have a nice low scoring first five frames out of these two to pad the wallet around say 8 times between the both of them in my leagues and a nice cherry on top to win in this format.

I have McClanahan (#3) for my home team the Rays and he is facing my favorite fade Vince Velasquez who I have ranked at #29 tomorrow. This one i will have some exposure on and go with the RL.

Coming in at #5 is Shane Bieber; he of the knuckle curve that is a joy to watch facing the Men Wearing Orange and Bruce Zimmerman (#18). This one is actually a tough one so I am definitely going to make some moves on Zimmerman too in a smaller platform just to cover myself. He is a stud with little run support.

#6 Eovaldi gets to face the lukewarm A's bats and Kaprielian (#26). No brainer-just start Eovaldi and live with the results.

#7 is Max Fried and I will be sitting him at Coors Field. I will NEVER start anyone on my rosters there.

I struggled a bit with placing #8 Gilbert ahead of #9 Chris Bassitt. I am not completely in love with his secondaries, but the Wanderers aren't enough of a threat to keep him on the bench. That seems silly. Wind him up and put him down. I wish that Bassitt was facing an easier offense in the Dodgers and I can't ignore his performance across the last few weeks has been lacking. He did well last time out and a strong outing against the Dodgers; and that would work wonders on my confidence to place him higher on my rankings.

It feels like the poor luck days of Alex Cobb (#10) are behind now and he gets a cushy date with the pedestrian Fish offense. Let it ride, let it ride.

Alex Wood and Alcantara with enough money to pay for a mortgage payment all in one game. he has restored my faith and I was able to catch him at an unbelievable plus price since he was in very little demand! That was like winning 9 moves all in one event

The familiar names are om the top of the top tier tomorrow with Zach Wheeler, Logan Webb, Pablo Lopez and walker Buehler and Triston McKenzie.

Roansy Contreras is just at the 20% rostered threshold. Let him fly against the Snakes as he should be fine with his 97 mph heater and solid breaker. this will be my POD tomorrow. Zach Davies is a DNS for me tomorrow so should be good now that the Buccos (they aren't Coffee Cakes any more-they have earned their stripes) bats have come alive. Load him up in your leagues-he has a fabulous price

While we wait for the line maker to figure out a way to get bettors off of the Blunts and Wheeler. here's my updated offensive top tier top 8.

I generally take these teams offenses in some of my leagues pretty much each day. Nevertheless I don't really like making straight moves on team totals-I get a sense that the lineman jacks up the price of doing business with him quite a bit. However in the event that you can hold up a DNS pitcher to the light against one of these offenses there's a pretty good chance that you will have some measure of sustained success FF or full game.

Okay it's destined to be a fun duel between MacKenzie Gore (#8) and Aaron Ashby (#9), two young southpaws getting their chance to shine. Even if you're not starting them, watch that game.

The Brews and Halos are both off of shutouts and also...are both playing today with winning records. translated you either make a move on them or leave that game alone entirely for the side. Although I have Wheeler in my top gun slot today I am going to actually buck the trend and go with the OVER given the Halos "shutout (A)" status. Both of these teams are in my top tier top 8 offensive squad so seems like a good move as a result instead of allowing Wheeler to be subject to free swinging Halos for the money. I have him in enough leagues and pulled an arbitrage move taking Lorenzen who is in a mere 16% of rosters today. The Halos win-I get paid handsomely. It's that simple.

The same can be said about the Giants/Fish with Webb and Lopez. I have spread my money across my leagues like a Vegas dice game. Should that game be low scoring while those two are in..it's lobby time

On April 22, 1970, a New York Mets pitcher struck out the last San Diego Padres batter in the sixth inning. Then, in the seventh, eighth, and ninth inning, that same pitcher struck out three consecutive batters in each inning. Those ten consecutive strikeouts are the most strikeouts in-a-row by any team, during any game, in baseball history. Do you know who the pitcher was?

                                                                    #1 Gausman (TOR)

Make no mistake about it-he is in my third tier. If he doesn't have his changeup and his slider isn't elite, it could be a rough five frames, though I'd take the chance in many situations. This is one of them. Most managers are holding out for the Fish to announce a starter and left poor little Jakob alone by himself with no one to play with him. His use rate is at 16%; and oddly enough the Giants offense is at an other wordly 65%. Go figure. Anyway Junis as the POD choice was clear at +350 to best whoever the Fish offer; bullpen game or not. I need K's.

Montas has a very low usage rate for today and the blind men can't understand why the A's are FAVORED. That's their bad. I have had him on my rosters since day one. Yes he is a stud personified.

Not sure how I missed this.

There is a higher rated arm on the mound and that is Patrick Sandoval(#14) as an underdog to Kyle Gibson (#17) with the possibility to win straight up. My notes on Sandoval are he hasn't had the feel of his elite changeup lately, and if that is still the case-the Blunts could make it difficult for him. Gibson is having a subpar plate discipline year so far which is why I haven't used him more than a time or two. Another reason why I overlooked this move is the Halos have lost 10 in a row. I don't want to put a Mercury V12 Verado to a sinking dingy.

Wheeler delivered the check for me as promised yesterday with 9 K's and 2 BB's over 6 innings of work and only surrendering 2 runs; however he is s special pitcher and it takes that type to hold down the Halos potent offense. Gibson is anything but special and expect for the Halos to get to him early and often.

I didn't author this move so I am only describing it. It's up to you to make the determination whether you like it or not all integrity aside.

So managers in my leagues were scrambling and dropping Elieser Hernandez overnight and grabbing Braxton Garrett for the Fish this morning; as Hernandez was sent packing to the minors after giving up those 18 dingers.

Looks like the southpaw Garrett will be the short term answer and as a result this is shaping up to be a bullpen day for the Fish. He has a 5.18 ERA with 40 strikeouts against 25 walks over 41 2/3 innings. Opponents have hit .311 against him in the big leagues. Translated the Giants may get to blasting away should he make it to the second time through the order
