The Orioles only managed three runs in yesterday's game, but note that they had scored 16 runs in their two prior games. Look for the Orioles to bounce right back against Cory Lidle.
The reason the Phillies were willing to part with him is because the "fade" was on for Lidle. You can see that in his numbers with Philly as his stats kept getting worse over time. Now returning to the American League where the lineups are generally much more potent, we expect Lidle to start getting hammered.
As for the Yankees offense, they certainly should be able to answer the Orioles run for run tonight. They will be teeing off against Adam Loewen who is off a very rough start against the Red Sox. This will be the third time this season that the Yankees will get a look at him and they should take advantage. Loewen is just 1-3 with an 8.89 ERA on the road this season and has a .300 BAA away from home.
This one should get ugly early for Loewen and then one of the league's worst bullpens will be employed by Baltimore.
