                Wow the Hawks and Lightning sure got whipped last nite!

                Tonite it's the Rockets and the over.
                It states, aeoIn the playoffs, teams that are not favored and are seeking immediate revenge for a 1-3 point loss are 16-0 ATS as long as it is not game 7. The SDQL text is:
                playoffs=1 and line>=0 and -3<=P:margin<0 and series game<7 and date>=20130429

                These non-favorites are 14-2 straight up, winning by an average of 7.8 ppg and covering by an average of 12.8 ppg.

                As a team, Houston is 9-0 ATS (+9.61 ppg) as a dog after a loss in which they scored at least 50 points in the paint, 9-0 ATS (+6.94 ppg) with rest after a game in which they had an assist to turnover ratio of at least two and 7-0 ATS (7.93 ppg) at home after a loss in which they allowed at least 50% from the field.

                The Warriors, on the other hand, are 0-8 ATS on the road after a home win in which at least 75% of their baskets were assisted, losing EVERY game by double digits.

                Looking at the key-player based trends we find that the Rockets are 9-0 ATS (+9.72 ppg) after a loss in which Trevor Ariza had more turnovers than assists and 7-0 ATS (+10.43 ppg) after a loss in which Dwight Howard had more turnovers than assists.

                Finally, we note that the Warriors are 0-6 ATS after any home game in which Curry scored 30-plus points.
                Take Houston

                  Ya, I didn't foresee the Lightening getting whipped like that...but that's how it goes sometimes.

                      OVER 214.5 -- We have a key-player indicator going here that we just canae t ignore as it keeps winning big for us. The Warriors are 9-0 OU on the road after Stephen Curry made at least 5 threes at home. It is not the 9-0 OU record that is so compelling; it is the fact that they have gone over by an average of 20.67 ppg in this spot. Check it out with this SDQL text:
                      Stephen Curry:TPM>=5 and A and p:H and date>=20140316

                      As a team, the Warriors are 7-0 OU (+14.21 ppg) on the road with at least one day of rest after a game at home in which they had at least thirty assists and 8-0 OU on the road after a home win in which Harrison Barnes scored fewer than 10 points, zooming over by an average of 22.56 ppg. Wow.

                      We also have a playoff-only trend involving the Warriors. Golden St is 6-0 OU on the road after a playoff win at home in which they scored at least 18 fast break points, eclipsing the OU line by an average of 25.42 ppg, including 2-0 OU these playoffs.

                      The Rockets qualify for a nice playoff-only system that involves teams off a loss in which they did not turn the ball over very much. In the playoffs, NBA teams are 7-0 OU as a dog with at most one day of rest after a loss in which they had at least five fewer turnovers than their season-to-date average, going over by an average of 19.86 ppg. In two playoff games this season, the games went over by 14 and 16 points respectively.

                      More importantly, however, Houston is 6-0 OU off any road loss in which Harden scored 30-plus points, going over by an average of 10.75 ppg. As you can see by running the SDQL test:

                      James Hardenoints>=30 and p:AL and date>=20140000

                      The Rockets have scored at least 111 points in every one of the six games. The line value is with the over!

                          No not really other than they suck and should b avoided. Haren is regressing to his normal avgs and I was shocked to see they were favored again.

                                              the Yankees are 17-0 over the past six seasons as a favorite in the third game of a three-game series when they lost the first two as a favorite. The SDQL text is:

                                              the Rangers are 0-21 when their line is within 130 of pickem and they are off a win in which they scored five-plus runs on less than 16 hits while scoring in more than two innings and not striking out more than ten times. The SDQL here is:

                                              the Yankees are 11-0 when seeking immediate revenge for a four-plus run loss as a favorite. The SDQL text is:

                                                  I'm referring to the amount of coincidence involved in these trends being "undefeated" under very arbitrary constraints of previous game margin of victory defeats and line prices.

The Rockets havenae t been this big a home dog since early 2012 -- and Harden was out with a sprained right ankle. Still they took the Spurs to OT before losing as a seven-point home dog.
                                                                    In fact, the Rockets have only been a dog four times when they have had both Harden and Howard in the line-up and they are 4-0 ATS, winning three of the four straight up. The SDQL text is:

                                                                    team=Rockets and HD and James Harden:minutes>0 and Dwight Howard:minutes>0 James Harden was a brutal 3-of-16 from the field in game three. The key to handicapping this game is to know how the Rockets have responded in this situation. With the SDQL, this is easy to investigate. It turns out that the Rockets are 13-0 ATS with rest after a game in which James Harden shot no better than 40% from the field. The SDQL text is:
