You don't bet on the starting pitcher. You bet on a number and the value of the actual line vs. the perceived line, as well as many, many other factors that will make your brain malfunction (if it hasn't already).

They are absolutely murdering the ball. I'm actually going to the game today and was trying sooo hard to justify even a small bet on the Rangers but I couldn't bring myself to do it given how the Rockies have hit as a team the last few days.

I guess the price the Twins paid for moving out of that air conditioned atrocity was being able to do, well pretty much anything related to the game of baseball - they've pretty much turned into the joke teams from those stupid baseball movies except the Disney style ending isn't coming. They're only hope is Sano or Buxton. I doubt both of them turn out, and if neither one becomes anything special it's going to be like 15 years before they make the postseason.

I don't know how Twins fans think, closest idea I have is from watching Fargo like 100 times, but I think Gardenhire is somewhat of an institution up there and they think firing him would be viewed as impolite or something.

The fact that Mauer is making 23 million dollars this year, which is like half the their payroll, to play 1B when he won't even hit 10 homeruns pretty sums up what they're all about up there.
