BET99 has been around for over half a decade and has left a significant stamp on the Canada sports betting market thanks to an aggressive advertising campaign featuring some of the country's top sports superstars.

In addition to its brand recognition, BET99 has made notable improvements to its sportsbook. The platform offers a user-friendly mobile experience, competitive odds, and a wide range of sports markets, making it a viable option for Canadian bettors.

BET99 bonuses

BET99 breaks out the big guns with its welcome bonus, an impressive $800 First Bet Encore. Basically, your first wager on BET99 is insured against a loss. Here's how it works:

• Follow our links to BET99 and sign-up to create your account.
• Opt-in into the welcome offer using the promo code SBRBONUS.
• Deposit at least $20 into your account. Remember only your first wager will be subject to the bonus.
• If your first bet wins, you receive no bonus bets at all.
• If your bet settles as a loss, BET99 will refund your stake via bonus bets.
• The bonus bet arrives in four equal pieces, each worth 25% of the stake of your lost bet.
• Bet must be made with real money, and not bonus bets or other BET99 credits. Bets that are cashed out early are ineligible for the bonus.
• Bonus bets cannot be cashed out and are only used to make additional wagers on BET99 sportsbook.

BET99 Locations

BET99 has been available to Canadians since 2019 under the regulation of the Kahnawake Gambling Commission (it also has a license in Malta). It's one of the few sportsbooks in Canada with a solid local focus and is not found in the U.K. or the United States.

Sports Leagues to Bet On

BET99 goes the extra mile to ensure that sports bettors with vast wagering interests are served. They feature all major leagues and those with a Canadian slant like the CFL and MLS.

NFL Betting

BET99 offers a wide range of betting options for NFL wagers, including moneylines, spreads, totals, quarter- and half-specific betting options, in-game wagers, and a decent selection of player props each Sunday during the season. The main odds markets are in line with the rest of the industry (more on this later), while their player props are actually slightly above average.

NBA Betting

There’s no shortage of betting options for the NBA fans, as BET99 offers moneyline, spread, and total plays for every game on the schedule. You can also wager on quarterly or halftime options and daily player props. The latter category is of particular interest to most NBA bettors – and BET99 comes through with a healthy selection of markets (and strong odds to match).

College Football

If it’s NCAA football markets you seek, you’ve come to the right place. BET99 offers moneyline, spread, and total plays for most Division I games on any given Saturday during the season, along with a large assortment of quarter-by-quarter or halftime plays. You can also wager on team props, though player props aren’t available.

College Basketball

While you won’t see as robust a market for NCAA basketball as you would find on larger sites like Bet365 or William Hill, BET99 does have a presence here. Marquee games during the regular season are covered, while BET99 follows the lead of most Canadian sportsbooks by ramping up the betting markets ahead of March Madness.

NHL Betting

BET99 does well to appeal to the puckheads that preside in Canada’s most populous province, offering a healthy number of hockey markets every day during the season and into the Stanley Cup playoffs. In addition to moneyline, puckline, and total plays, bettors have access to two-way team and player props, along with period-specific betting markets.

MLB Betting

How do you make a summer afternoon even better? By firing up your BET99 account and placing some baseball wagers. BET99 offers comprehensive MLB markets for pre-game bets (moneyline, runline, total) and in-game action (five innings moneyline/run line, player props, team props). BET99's player props are plentiful, and the quality of odds is decent overall.

Other Sports Leagues

BET99 has a solid esports foundation – one of the best in the country. Bettors will find markets across every major esports competition, including Call of Duty, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch, and Valorant, among others. The Esports tab is featured prominently alongside top leagues like MLB and the NBA in the home menu, making it easy to find, and you'll even find specific promos geared toward esports betting.

BET99 also offers MMA, soccer, tennis, golf, boxing, and motorsports. They also provide odds for more popular global sports like cricket and rugby, but the available markets for these sports are scarce.

Online Betting Experience

There’s nothing revolutionary about how BET99 lays out its desktop and mobile web design. Sports menus on the left, betslip and list of popular wagers on the right, and markets in the middle. 

It's also easy to to find daily promos and top bets, such as BET99's daily 'Canada's Best Price' feature. Similarly, you can find rotating 'Unvigables,' which are a set of unique novelty and/or prop bets that don't have any vig or house edge.

BET99's mobile app is a great addition to the company's offerings. It's a much smoother experience than using the desktop site or mobile browser page.

Website Experience

Bettors can easily select which sports they’d like to scan and can even build their list via checkboxes of which markets within each sport they would prefer to see (thereby eliminating the need to scroll through unwanted clutter).

BET99's desktop interface used to lag when switching between menus, but these issues seem to be a thing of the past as the website is noticeably snappier now. While I still prefer using the dedicated iOS and Android apps, BET99 is certainly viable as a desktop-only experience.

Mobile Betting and Betting App

BET99 released its dedicated mobile app in October 2023. Like most competing apps, you can find it on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The early consensus is that the BET99 app is a huge improvement on the sportsbook experience. It currently holds a 4.4/5.0 rating on the App Store and 3.6/5.0 on Google Play, though the latter score is only based on a little over 250 reviews. 

The app offers all the same betting markets and promotions as the desktop site, just organized and presented in a much more efficient manner. 

Live Betting

You can access live odds by selecting “In Play” in the top-left area of the page. There, all in-game betting options are sorted by sport; you can also add games or leagues to a “Favourites” tab so you can keep the events you’re most interested in together in one spot.

Once you click into an event, it will display its live odds library in the middle of your screen, with alternate live betting opportunities to the left and a “virtual field” to the right where you can track the results as they happen. BET99 offers a wide range of live betting opportunities, satisfying those who like the in-game experience.

The site’s live streaming options are available for a wide range of sports and esports, including ATP/ATP Challenger tennis, ITF Tennis, Table tennis, and select soccer competitions. 

BET99 also continuously updates its live betting and streaming features. More recently, it introduced BetVision for the 2025 NFL season, which gives you access to free NFL live-streaming when you place a pre-game or live wager.

Casino, Poker, & Other Gaming Options

BET99 provides plenty of alternate gambling opportunities. The Casino tab along the top menu will take you to a master list of gaming options, with many sortable menus to help you find exactly the kind of game you seek. 

The Live Casino tab takes players into BET99's list of live table games, featuring nearly 60 live blackjack dealers, more than 20 roulette tables, and well over a dozen Baccarat options. There’s also a Hold ‘Em table, though that’s the extent of BET99’s foray into the popular card game.

BET99 History

BET99 was founded in 2019 and is owned by BQC Consulting, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, and is a subsidiary of Toronto-based Sports Venture Holdings, Inc.

BET99 has been a part of the Canadian gaming landscape since 2019 and has enlisted the help of some well-known Canadian athletes in an effort to win over a larger portion of the betting population. 

Sports Venture Holdings also made a significant move ahead of becoming part of Ontario’s regulated sports betting space, entering into a merger with Kings Entertainment Group in late May 2022. The deal is subject to terms and conditions.

In October 2023, BET99 released their long awaited mobile app, to much celebration from its user base. 

Customer Ratings & Reputation

Let’s start with the positives. BET99 has one of the most formidable prop betting markets in the Canadian sports betting climate, providing dozens of player and team prop options for most major sporting events and allowing players to bet on both ways of many props.

It also worth noting that BET99 has taken major strides to improve the quality of its odds, which were once among the worst in the country. BET99 used to load up to 20 cents of additional juice onto some of its secondary sport lines, and up to 30 cents on prop markets. This is no longer the case – and BET99 deserves full credit for making that change.

Most of the complaints on Trustpilot (where BET99 is rated 4.3 out of 5) center around slow payments and disappearing bonuses. However, it's best to take these sorts of comments with a grain of salt, as every user experience is different, and I can attest to not encountering these issues in any of my testing or regular app usage.

Customer Service

The BET99 Live Chat service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week – and the customer service agents are pretty helpful, answering questions straightforwardly. You’re not left waiting long, either, which is a nice touch.

BET99 Legal Betting

BET99 is regulated in Canada by the Kahnawake Gambling Commission who has effectively and successfully regulated interactive gaming longer than almost any other jurisdiction in the world.

Why Choose BET99 ?

There’s a lot to like here. From the sheer number of sports offered (including a veritable buffet of eSports markets) to the ease with which bettors can place their wagers to the much-improved odds, BET99 clearly cares about giving its customers a memorable experience. The availability of live-streaming options is also a bonus, especially for tennis fans, where BET99 is well-covered.

That said, there are a few smaller issues that warrant mentioning. While BET99 has some of the best promos in the industry, I wish it would keep the sports and casino promos separate rather than dump them all on the same page. I'd also like to see the website get a visual facelift to bring it more in line with the iOS and Android apps, which I find easier to read thanks to a more varied colour palette.

Overall, BET99 has quickly become one of our favourite sportsbooks in Canada thanks to its wide selection of betting markets, great app experience, and noticeably improved user experience.
