Not really. Since brooks in being a cancer in threads in this part of the forum....it belongs here. He’s destroying and lying in every thread.

I pity his family, imagine having a father as stupid as brooks. My dad was not educated, but he was not stupid. He read and read and read. These guys never read anything except far right craziness. My dad told his children when we were very very young not to smoke because it is very dangerous. How did he know this? A huge majority of people smoked. He knew it because he researched it.

Remember, this was the time when the asshole presidents of tobacco companies swore before Congress and with doctors behind them that cigarette smoking is not dangerous. Do you remember that? I remember those 5 or 6 bastards swearing in front of Congress all lies.

Last night I taped a bunch of Twilight Zone shows, about 50. this morning I was watching one and I was amazed at the great dialogue in these simple shows. the premise was usually ridiculous but the dialogue often written by Rod Serling was usually great. when I was a kid watching these shows I didn't appreciate the dialogue, now I do.

Rod the poor guy he was a heavy smoker and died early didn't even make 51.

I taught in a school district that graduated 500 seniors or more, so it was pretty big, not huge but pretty big. Listen to this, tons of teachers smoked the smoking room was filled with so much smoke one could barely breathe. Almost every one of the male teachers, who smoked and I worked with either is dead, have cancer or heart disease. I can hardly think of one not bothered by these conditions, not the women for some reason many of them escaped these problems, but the men not so much.

The Smoking situation is a lot like climate change in a way. All the facts are in but if this was back in time we would be debating with these same imbeciles and they would be siding with these tobacco companies telling us that it was fake news and that smoking was harmless. heck we are still debating about trickledown economics with these asshats. All the proof is in but they get fooled over and over again and then we are back to square one. So much progress could be made but somehow we have to deal with easily conned jackasses, and there are just enuf of them to stifle any progress. Look how that whole stem cell fiasco started. These asshole somehow clog up the whole debate and we as a country suffer.
