The two clubs that finished third and fourth in the Premier League last season face off early this year. Here are the insights for Tottenham versus Chelsea on Matchday 2 of the Premier League.

Both teams are currently undefeated, though through one week of the season, one would hope two of the best clubs in Europe would be. Chelsea struggled to beat Everton as a Jorginho penalty kick saved them from dropping two points, while Tottenham battered Southampton despite conceding the first goal.

Here are our Tottenham-Chelsea Premier League picks for Matchday 2 (odds via DraftKings SportsbookFanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tottenham vs. Chelsea Picks

Tottenham vs. Chelsea ATS Pick

Tottenham -0.25 (+170)

Chelsea have made defensive improvements with the signings of Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella, but they have yet to find any new goal-scoring ability after Timo Werner returned to RB Leipzig and Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan after a subpar season at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham already have one of the best attacking duos in Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, and added Dejan Kulusevski in January who was a key in the Spurs revival and 4-1 victory over Southampton.

With much of the scoring pressure put on Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount, who both did not score against Everton, Chelsea will be lucky to outplay a red-hot Spurs team whose biggest stars are also aching for their first goals of the season, giving Tottenham an advantage as three different scorers already netted goals last week.

Tottenham vs. Chelsea O/U Pick

Over 2.5 goals (-110)

Tottenham alone has scored over three goals four times in their last six Premier League matches, including 10 combined goals in their last three alone. Chelsea has found the back of the net in each of their last five Premier League games, scoring more than two in three of their last five.

Between the two teams, three goals is no challenge, as the teams have five goals combined already. Even without penalties or own goals, they would still sit at three combined.

While Spurs were held scoreless in each of their regular-season meetings against the Blues in 2021-22, before Antonio Conte's revival of the team, five goals were scored across the two competitions.

Tottenham vs. Chelsea Prop Pick

Son Heung-min to score anytime (+220)

After registering an assist against Southampton, Son Heung-min - the 2021-22 shared winner of the Golden Boot - is eager to get his next campaign started after scoring 23 goals last year.

With the London Derby a high-pressure game between rivals, Son will be expected to be one of the more prolific strikers in the match. He was absent for both of Tottenham's 2022 games against the Blues.

Now, with the Champions League to look forward to and Conte ready to prove his Spurs side are not to be doubted, Son will be up front and ready to attack against Chelsea's defense.
