Liverpool vs. Aston Villa Prediction, Picks & Odds: Premier League Best Bets, Matchday 10
Last Updated: October 31, 2025 12:51 PM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
It doesn’t get any easier for struggling Liverpool, as my Liverpool vs. Aston Villa prediction expects a tough fixture for Arne Slot’s squad when the action kicks off from Anfield on Saturday (4 p.m. ET on USA Network).
Liverpool are caught in an unsightly four-game losing skid in the Premier League but remain the -165 favorite to win this weekend. However, their recent form could scare off some, including me, as my Premier League best bets foresee Aston Villa silencing the home fans.

✅ Liverpool vs. Aston Villa best bet
⬆️ Over 2.5 total goals (-188) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Liverpool may not be winning, but bettors taking the Over certainly have been during the team’s month-long downward spiral. There have been more than two goals in six of Liverpool’s seven games, a trend that I expect to continue against Aston Villa.
Although Villa’s defense is fresh off a clean sheet against Manchester City, it’s unlikely they’ll be able to contain another loaded attack. That's especially true at Anfield, where tensions will be high and things could turn toxic if Liverpool don’t turn their season around.
A winning $10 bet on this game going Over 2.5 goals pays $5.33 at bet365. It has an implied probability of 65.28%.

🔥 Ollie Watkins Over 0.5 shots on target (-170) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The fact that Aston Villa are in eighth place - a point behind Liverpool - is an impressive feat considering that Ollie Watkins hasn’t delivered the goal-scoring performances that fans have grown accustomed to over the years.
Even though Watkins only has one goal in nine appearances, I’m backing him to get his first shot on target in the league since September. Along with Liverpool’s defensive issues, Aston Villa should have an aggressive approach in their quest to slay the Premier League holders.
The best odds are over at DraftKings, where a $10 bet pays a profit of $5.88 with an implied probability of 62.96%. Our Gary Pearson offers three more best bets in his Matchday 10 Premier League odds and predictions.

Liverpool vs. Aston Villa odds analysis
Liverpool saw a shift in their line as the favorite, with their opening odds of -235 moving to -167 after another worrying display in their defeat to Crystal Palace in the League Cup. The odds could shift back in Liverpool’s direction if Ryan Gravenberch returns from injury, but I’m staying away from the Reds until they prove they’re truly over this slump.
