Oilers vs. Senators Player Prop Bets: NHL Picks & Best Bets for Tonight

Last Updated: October 21, 2025 2:12 PM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link

Edmonton top guns Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have yet to get rolling this season, and I’m avoiding both of them in my Oilers vs. Senators player props and best bets for tonight.
Despite scoring just nine goals in their last four games, the Oilers are a -120 betting favorite for tonight’s matchup at Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre (7 p.m. ET, ESPN+). Our NHL picks for the all-Canadian clash are backing a point from Ottawa forward Drake Batherson, a goal from Edmonton’s Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and a light night for Sens goaltender Linus Ullmark.

💰 Best player prop bets for Oilers vs. Senators
Our NHL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬆️ Drake Batherson Over 0.5 points (-135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Since returning from an upper-body injury that sidelined him for the first three games of the season, Drake Batherson has put up three points in the last three contests, including two in Saturday’s 5-4 loss to the New York Islanders.
He’s also seeing first-line time alongside Dylan Cozens and Tim Stutzle, who have combined for nine points and 38 shots on net through their first six games. Batherson has assisted on goals by both Cozens and Stutzle in Ottawa’s last two outings, and he’s averaging nearly four shot attempts of his own so far this season.
A $10 bet on Batherson at DraftKings can return a $7.41 profit, and the -135 odds imply a 57.45% probability, per our odds calculator.
⬇️ Linus Ullmark Under 25.5 saves (-115) ⭐⭐⭐
Linus Ullmark has gone Under his saves total in four of his five starts this season, and there are a couple of reasons why you can expect a lighter workload tonight as well.
Ottawa should be more buttoned-up defensively after head coach Travis Green ripped his team for "cheating for offence" in Saturday’s defeat. Meanwhile, Edmonton has scored just nine goals in its last four games, recorded only 18 shots Sunday in Detroit, and should be tired playing its final game of a five-game eastern road trip.
There’s another way we can cash this prop tonight: if Ullmark struggles and is given an early hook. That’s not out of the question for a goaltender who has allowed four-plus goals in three of his five starts.
BetMGM was among the first sportsbooks to offer Ullmark’s saves total, setting the line at 25.5 with -115 juice on the Under. A $10 wager can return $8.70 profit with an implied probability of 53.49%.

🔥 Ryan Nugent-Hopkins anytime goal scorer (+240) ⭐⭐
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is tied for the team lead with four goals this season and ranks second to Connor McDavid in points. He’s also attempted a team-high four unblocked shots from high-danger areas and added five more from medium-danger zones, per MoneyPuck.
Another reason to like Nugent-Hopkins anytime goal scorer, especially at this generous price, is his potential on the power play. Two of his four goals and three of his six points came while Edmonton enjoyed the man advantage, while Ottawa’s penalty killing unit ranks second-worst in the league.
BetMGM’s +240 odds suggest there’s a 29.41% chance Nugent-Hopkins finds the net tonight. If he does, a $10 bet would return $24 in profit. Our Liam Fox also targets Nuge alongside two more picks in his best NHL anytime goal scorer predictions today.
