🏒 NHL Player Props Today: Best Bets & Prop Picks for Friday, May 1
The only thing better than playoff games is potential elimination playoff contests. The intensity ramps up, and I'm featuring the following players to come up clutch in my NHL player props: David Pastrnak, Dylan Guenther, Ivan Barbashev, and Brandon Hagel.
All four players have been superb thus far, and I expect that to continue for Game 6.

David Pastrnak Over 3.5 shots (+100) vs. Bruins
An inspired performance from Pasta in Game 5 has the Boston Bruins within reach. Pastrnak's reaction to his overtime winner oozed passion, and I expect him to be at his elite best in Game 6.
Pastrnak didn't register a single point in Games 3 and 4 at the TD Garden, something he'll be hellbent on rectifying in tonight's potential elimination game. Pasta hit the Over on this prop in 3 of 5 games in the series and 2 of the previous 3.
In Game 5, he fired 7 shots on target and attempted 12.

Dylan Guenther Over 3.5 shots (-137) vs. Golden Knights
Guenther hit the Over on this prop in all 5 contests, and I cashed in three times. His odds are unsurprisingly a lot shorter after consistently eclipsing the total.
As he's shattered the total in each game, firing 26 shots, I'm still amenable. However, I wouldn't play the bet at -140 or higher. Guenther has attempted 55 shots, the most of anyone in the postseason.
I don't expect him to change tactics in an elimination game.
Ivan Barbashev Over 0.5 assists (+160) at Mammoth
Barbashev has an assist in 3 straight games and scored a goal in Games 1 and 2. His line is on fire, with Eichel coming alive, scoring 8 points in the previous 4 games.
I've decided to go with Barbashev to notch at least one assist rather than Eichel to score 2 or more points because of the increased likelihood of a lower-scoring game. Elimination games are usually tighter, and I expect the Mammoth to bear down.
The +160 odds offered by BetMGM are the best price among the best sports betting sites.

Dorofeyev is on fire, netting four goals in the last two games, including a hat trick in Game 4. Everything he's touching turns to gold.

Brandon Hagel anytime goal (+160) at Canadiens
Hagel was shut out in Game 5 for the first time in the series. He did, however, fire five shots on goal in the painstaking defeat. Hagel scored 6 goals in the first 4 games, including 2 critical markers in the third period of Game 4 in Montreal.
Hagel is the type of player who raises his level in the most important moments. Game 6 in Montreal certainly qualifies.
While I don't expect his 42.9 shooting % to continue, he will be looking to put more pressure on Jakub Dobes with their season on the line.

I've decreased the SGP to 2 legs, looking for a win after several close defeats. This SGP has +246 odds, carrying a 28.90% implied probability.
Pasta will be on fire in the Bruins' elimination game, and Guenther has been the most productive shooter in the playoffs.

💡 How I'm betting NHL player props today

To offset the short -137 odds, I'm investing 1.5 units on Guenther's shots prop. I'm only investing 0.5 units on Hagel's goal-scoring prop as goals will likely be at a premium in Montreal.
That's also why I'm backing Barbashev to notch at least 1 helper instead of Eichel to get 2 points or more. Barbashev plays on Eichel's line and should be among the points if Eichel is, at least in even-strength scenarios.
