We're getting down to the nitty-gritty of the first round, with two elimination games and a swing contest on tap in Tuesday's action. 

I'm featuring Jackson LaCombe, Kirill Kaprizov, Leon Draisaitl, and Matt Duchene in my NHL player props, backing three of the four to notch at least one helper. I've made an exception for Draisaitl, who I'm backing to light the lamp when the Edmonton Oilers attempt to stave off an early exit.

Jackson LaCombe Over 0.5 assists (+100) at Oilers

Plus-money odds for LaCombe to notch an assist represent the steal of the night. With eight points, the Ducks defenseman leads the postseason. Not only is he snuffing out Connor McDavid's even-strength threat, but he's also notching assists like a center. 

LaCombe has seven assists, posting at least one in every game. He had two in Game 2 on the road and two at home in Game 4. I don't have to make my point regarding the Oilers' woeful defensive work. They are more porous than the world's biggest donut.

Kirill Kaprizov Over 0.5 assists (+126) at Stars

Kaprizov has five helpers, notching at least one in three of four games. He was held pointless in Game 3, but has otherwise been as productive as advertised. 

The Thrill was superb in Games 1 and 4, posting two assists in each contest. With eight assists in the last 10 games against the Stars, Kaprizov puts up points no matter how much the Stars try to nullify his threat. 

He only has 11 assists in 29 career postseason games. However, nine have come in the last 10 contests. 

Leon Draisaitl anytime goal (-115) vs. Ducks

Draisaitl has 53 goals in 100 playoff games. I'm even more drawn to the play knowing he's only scored one goal in the series thus far.

Draisaitl leads the Oilers with seven points and is clutch in elimination games. He scored four overtime goals in last year's postseason, the most in a single playoffs. If the Oilers are going out in the first round, it won't be because Draisaitl hasn't done his bit. 

He also had four goals in the four games against the Ducks before this first-round series. 

Matt Duchene Over 0.5 assists (+128) vs. Wild 

Duchene has five helpers in the last three games, heating up like a Dallas summer afternoon. The Stars' offense has been much better since Game 1, producing at least 3.09 expected goals in each subsequent game.

They have 10 goals in the previous three games, with Duchene assisting on half of them. Duchene struggled in previous playoffs to produce as he does in the regular season, but he's bursting with confidence. The plus-money odds help, too.

I'm feeling the assists for tonight's action across two games. All four teams are incredibly explosive offensively, and both series have a propensity for goals galore, more so in northern Alberta.

Draisaitl is the one pick I'm slightly concerned about. While he's piling up the assists, he hasn't found his goal-scoring rhythm. But what better venue and time to net one than at Rogers Place in an elimination game? 

I'm still investing a full unit because of his ability to come through in the most important moments. The other picks get a unit each, with all three players on a tear.
