I’ve analyzed Thursday’s 12 games and have come up with three best picks for my NHL predictions today.
Macklin Celebrini faces an Ottawa Senators team susceptible to a letdown after the emotional high of running the Florida Panthers out of the nation’s capital, while my other two picks feature players with favorable matchups.

NHL best bet today
Macklin Celebrini Over 0.5 assists (-116 via FanDuel)
Celebrini has nine assists in eight games, notching three in the previous three. He’s also played well against tonight’s opponent and looks to extend a three-game assist streak against the Senators. He has four assists in the current streak.
On the San Jose Sharks' current road trip, Celebrini didn’t get on the scoresheet against the Maple Leafs, but tallied three points against the Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens on either side of that game in Toronto.
📡 SBR Edge: Senators' potential letdown spot
The Senators are coming off a massive 5-1 victory over the Florida Panthers and former captain Brady Tkachuk on Wednesday night. After that emotional outburst, the team is susceptible to a letdown against a rested Western Conference team.

Dylan Guenther Over 2.5 shots (-135 via FanDuel)
Dylan Guenther has fired only two shots in each of the last four games, an uncharacteristically unproductive streak. He didn’t endure a similar streak in the entire 2025-26 campaign. That’s why I love this opportunity to lock him in at a lower total at somewhat palatable -135 odds. He's overdue for a highly productive night.
Guenther had five shots in four of six games preceding the current two-shot streak. He also had at least three shots in five of his eight previous meetings with the Seattle Kraken. Speaking of the Kraken, they allow the third-most shots per game (31).
Lucas Raymond Over 0.5 assists (+110 via bet365)
The Detroit Red Wings take on the Vancouver Canucks’ league-worst defense (tied with the Calgary Flames). The Canucks allow 4.75 goals per game and have conceded at least four in five of their previous seven.
Lucas Raymond has only one assist in the last five games, but that came in the last outing against the Kraken. Despite only amassing five assists thus far, Raymond is a superb setup man, and he’s facing a poor defense on the back of a two-point night.
While that would be enough for me to lock in this pick, Raymond is also historically productive against the Canucks, notching at least one assist in four straight meetings.
