College Football Player Props for Week 8: Best Prop Bets This Week
Last Updated: October 21, 2026 1:25 PM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
After a 2-1 week that saw Darian Mensah throw for 326 yards and Cam Coleman score, my favorite college football player props for Week 8 focus on Jaden Craig, Kevin Jennings, and Charlie Becker.
As part of my best college football Week 8 predictions, I explain why Craig should have a huge game against the nation's worst pass defense, why Jennings will have no trouble leading No. 23 SMU on touchdown drives, and why Becker should give No. 6 Indiana an advantage through the air against Michigan.

Jaden Craig Over 299.5 passing yards (+104 via DraftKings)
Craig has thrown for at least 294 yards in four of his last five games, topping 300 yards three times during that span. The only time he threw for fewer than 200 yards, he managed 187 against BYU's 35th-ranked pass defense.
This week, Craig faces a West Virginia pass defense that ranks dead last nationally, allowing 310.1 yards per game. West Virginia is also one of two teams allowing more than 10 yards per attempt, as opponents are completing 67.6% of their passes. Craig is completing 66.8% of his passes and averaging 8.8 yards per attempt.
📡 SBR Edge: West Virginia's offense will keep the pressure on Craig
While TCU ranks No. 1 in scoring defense in the Big 12, the defense also hasn't faced a top-eight Big 12 scoring offense. West Virginia ranks fourth, averaging 37.6 points per game, and should score enough to make this a shootout, something Craig hasn't been a part of despite his great numbers.
Kevin Jennings Over 2.5 passing touchdowns (+129 via DraftKings)
Jennings has thrown at least two touchdown passes in five of his six games, throwing at least three in three contests. Though he's only thrown more than two against one ACC opponent this season, I love his matchup this week.
California allows 27.7 points per game, tying for the third-most in the ACC. The Golden Bears just gave up 41 points to Wake Forest in a game where Gio Lopez threw four touchdowns.
While California's rush defense has been a bigger problem than its pass defense, the team is still allowing 7.0 yards per pass attempt and more than 206 passing yards per game, while giving up 10 passing touchdowns. While the SMU rushing attack has been decent, this is the second-best passing attack in the ACC, and Jennings has thrown 16 touchdowns.
Charlie Becker Over 74.5 receiving yards (-109 via DraftKings)
Becker continued his incredible season with a nine-catch, 165-yard game against Ohio State. He's now recorded at least 81 yards in five of seven games, and he's topped 100 yards three times.
Michigan is allowing the third-fewest passing yards per game in the Big Ten. Additionally, the Wolverines are only allowing 5.8 yards per attempt. However, this is a defense that just gave up 11 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown to Penn State's Chase Sowell.
And while Indiana is averaging 200.1 rushing yards per game and 5.67 yards per carry, Turbo Richard has struggled in back-to-back close games, managing just 56 total yards. Richard will struggle again against Michigan's third-ranked Big Ten rush defense, so I'll back Becker to have another huge game, as no defense has held him below 50 yards yet.
