I’m back with another round of NHL player props today as part of our NHL picks, highlighting three of the league’s hottest players and a sharpshooter still searching for his first goal since recording a hat trick in the Winnipeg Jets’ season opener against the Dallas Stars.

Three of the four featured players - Kyle Connor, along with Montreal Canadiens forwards Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield - draw favorable matchups, while Mark Stone’s shot total looks tempting with the Vegas Golden Knights set to face the Carolina Hurricanes. I’ve also included a solid plus-money bonus pick to round things out.

💰 Best NHL player prop bets for Oct. 20

Our NHL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ Nick Suzuki Over 0.5 assists (-139) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a start for Suzuki, who has a goal and seven assists through six games. Only three players (William Nylander, Mark Stone, and Jack Eichel) have more through the first two weeks of the season. Suzuki failed to register at least one assist in the Habs' last game against the New York Rangers.

There is no better opposition for Suzuki to get back in the assist column than against the Buffalo Sabres. He racked up eight assists in the last four head-to-heads with the Sabres, including a three-assist night the last time they met.

The -139 odds at Caesars aren't ideal as you'll only earn a $7.14 profit on a winning $10 bet. However, the 58.33% probability makes up for it.

⬆️ Mark Stone Over 1.5 shots (-140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While I don't love the short odds, I'm a massive fan of the lower 1.5 total. Stone has been ripping it more in the early juncture of the season, averaging four shots in the last three games. Yes, two of those games were against the lowly Calgary Flames. That said, Stone hit the Over on this total in four of six games, with the two Unders coming in enemy rinks.

I like his chance of firing two shots on Carolina's goal at home, and if he does, you'll earn a $7.14 profit on a $10 bet.

🥅 Best anytime goal scorer predictions today

🔥 Cole Caufield (+140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Caufield has started this season as well as the last. He has five goals in six games, lighting the lamp in three of five games. He has four goals in three home games and, like his captain, thrives against the Sabres. Caufield has four goals in the last four meetings, including one in consecutive games.

Of the best sports betting sites, FanDuel offers the best value (+140), where a winning $10 bet will profit $14.

🔥 Kyle Connor (+130) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Connor scored a hat trick in the opener against the Dallas Stars but hasn't netted since. A player of his goal-scoring pedigree won't remain off the scoresheet for long, especially against the league's worst defensive team, the Calgary Flames. Calgary has allowed at least four goals in five of six games.

Connor has two goals in the last three games against the Flames, including the last time he played at the Scotiabank Saddledome. If he lights the lamp tonight and you tail this pick, you'll earn $13 on a $10 wager.

💡 Bonus pick: Nick Suzuki Over 2.5 shots

Suzuki only hit the Over on this total once in five games thus far. However, he had at least three shots in four of the previous five meetings against the Sabres, and I believe he's in for another highly productive evening at home.
