NHL Player Props Today: Best Prop Bets & Anytime Goal Scorer Predictions for Wednesday

With five games on the slate, I've selected four picks that comprise my NHL player props today.

Auston Matthews and William Nylander look to take advantage of Utah's heavy legs, while Macklin Celebrini is focused on continuing his goal-per-game return in enemy rinks. I've also featured one of the league's most consistent setup men as part of my best NHL bets.

⬆️ Auston Matthews player prop: Over 3.5 shots (-135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Matthews and the Maple Leafs face a Utah Mammoth team playing the second game of a back-to-back. With fresher legs, the Buds should be able to dictate territorially, which will, in all likelihood, lead to a higher shot total.

Matthews has at least four shots in four consecutive games and carries a streak of eight straight against Utah, previously Arizona, with at least four shots. With 55 shots, Matthews is tied for the fourth-most in the league.

DraftKings offers the best price (-135), which implies a 57.45% probability. A winning $10 bet will line your pockets with a $7.41 profit. 

⬆️ Dylan Strome player prop: Over 0.5 assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Last season, Dylan Strome represented one of my most profitable prop picks. The Washington Capitals center is one of the most reliable and consistent setup men. He failed to register an assist in the last two games, but had eight in the previous five.

With four assists in the previous four meetings with St. Louis, I'm banking on another productive night for him in the nation's capital against a Blues team that allowed at least four goals in five of the previous seven games. 

The odds for him to secure at least one helper range from -110 to -122, with FanDuel at the low end of the market and BetMGM and DraftKings offering the best price.

The -110 odds will return $9.09 on a $10 wager if it hits.

🔥 Macklin Celebrini (+155) ⭐⭐⭐

Celebrini has seven goals in 13 games. But what draws me to this play is his production in enemy rinks, where he's netted in four of five games. Six of his seven goals came on the road, which doesn't feel like a coincidence.

While that stat will likely even out as the season continues, I'm willing to bet he's feeling especially ruthless in front of opposing fans. Of the best sports betting apps, FanDuel and Caesars provide the best value, where a $10 bet will profit $15.50.  

🔥 William Nylander (+160) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nylander hit a recent fruitful patch after missing two games with a minor injury. Since returning to the lineup, he has three goals in two games, scoring two against Pittsburgh on Monday. The 29-year-old netted four times against Utah, previously Phoenix, in the last four head-to-heads. 

Four of the five best sports betting sites offer the same +160 odds, representing a 38.46% implied probability. If Nylander lights the lamp, you'll earn $16 on a $10 bet.
