Week 8 was an incredible one for scoring, with 10 games resulting in 40+ points and three contests finishing with 60+. Here are our top NFL Week 9 Over/Under picks.
Fans who tuned into NFL RedZone, or their own team’s game, were spoiled rotten last Sunday as offenses scored touchdowns left and right. Those who parlayed several Over bets together got rewarded heavily, especially if combined with some anytime touchdown player props.
This week is known as ‘Byemageddon’, with six teams sitting out including the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Where's the best value with these squads out of action?
Here are our best NFL Week 9 Over/Under picks (odds via BetRivers Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook).

NFL Week 9 Over/Under Picks

- Seahawks-Cardinals Over 49.5 (-110 via FanDuel) ★★★★★
Bills vs. Jets Over/Under Pick
Under 47 (-110) ★★★★★
Neither the Bills nor Jets were involved in a game that surpassed 47 total points last week, and that’s been the norm for these teams thus far. The Bills manage to score an average of 29 points per game, but they’re also limiting opponents to 14 PPG.
The Jets have consistently been a top-10 team in points allowed this season, but they’re scoring nearly a touchdown less per game with an average output of 22 points. Given the factors at play, 48+ points seems too high a total for this matchup. Buffalo obviously has a high-octane offense, but New York's defense truly has been solid – especially thanks to a stellar cornerback tandem of D.J. Reed and Sauce Gardner.
Chargers vs. Falcons Over/Under Pick
Over 49.5 (-110) ★★★★★
This matchup seems like one of the more obvious Week 9 Over picks. The Chargers and Falcons sit second and fourth respectively in opponent PPG, yielding a combined average of 48.4 points to foes each week. Atlanta is also sixth in PPG (25) while the Chargers are 11th (23.4). All signs point to this one being a shootout.
The Falcons are especially susceptible to giving up chunk yardage plays, as injuries have plagued their secondary for weeks. They'll be without star cornerback Casey Hayward for the third straight game, and A.J. Terrell is another key cornerback who remains questionable. The Chargers could be without number-one wideout Keenan Allen, who didn’t practice Monday, but they have other players who can pick up the slack such as star running back Austin Ekeler.
Seahawks vs. Cardinals Over/Under Pick
Over 49.5 (-110) ★★★★★
Only 28 points were scored when these teams last met in Week 6; however, there are a few things that differ this time around. The Cardinals’ most talented receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, has been very productive since his return following a six-week suspension. He’s posted back-to-back games with 100+ receiving yards, including 22 receptions and a touchdown. His play even elevated quarterback Kyler Murray, who seems to have gotten some swagger back after a slow start.
On the Seahawks side, the offense has never stopped humming and should continue to be a factor in this one. Seattle averaged 32 PPG since these teams last played, including a 27-point performance against the stingy New York Giants last week. 51+ points isn’t easy, but scoring is trending upwards and this matchup features two of the biggest feast-or-famine teams going head-to-head.
