🦁 Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions (+1000) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amon-Ra St. Brown has scored six touchdowns this season, but he’s yet to score first in a game. However, when making this wager, I’m looking for consistency, and St. Brown has been just that. He has a touchdown in three of his five games, has received at least six targets in every contest, and has recorded at least seven catches in four consecutive games.

The Chiefs have one of the better pass defenses in football, allowing just 190.6 yards and 1.0 touchdowns per game. But the run defense has only allowed six touchdowns, so taking someone like Jahmyr Gibbs to score first (+600) doesn’t provide as much value, especially since St. Brown has more touchdowns.

The +1000 odds at DraftKings imply a 9.09% chance that St. Brown scores. A $10 bet would profit $100.

🔴 Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs (+1100) ⭐⭐⭐

The Chiefs have only scored first in two of their five games this season, which is one of the main reasons I have more faith in St. Brown than Travis Kelce. However, this has the potential to be a great matchup for Kelce, a tight end who has already scored twice this season.

Kelce is coming off a seven-catch, 61-yard game in which he scored a touchdown. Now, he faces a defense that has allowed 10 passing touchdowns, tied for sixth-most in the league. Three of those touchdowns have been caught by tight ends. That’s tied for fourth-most in the NFL.

The price of +1100 available at BetMGM, bet365, and DraftKings implies that Kelce has an 8.33% chance of scoring first in this game. A $10 bet would profit $110, making this one of the best first touchdown scorer predictions for Sunday Night Football.

🎯 Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Lions (+6000) ⭐⭐

Isaac TeSlaa has only three catches this season, but two of those receptions have been touchdowns. He scored last week on a 12-yard pass from Jared Goff.

This is definitely a long shot, but the Lions have shown their willingness to get their rookie wide receiver involved around the goal line, even if it’s not often. The Chiefs aren’t an easy team to throw touchdowns against, as explained above, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Lions run some trickery designed to get a lesser option, like TeSlaa, open. After all, this is the team that drew up a running back pass from David Montgomery to Brock Wright last week.

The +6000 odds at FanDuel are the best by a lot. A $10 bet would profit $600. You wouldn’t get more than $350 at any of our other best sports betting sites for the same bet. The +6000 odds imply a 1.64% chance this hits.
