While the Jets' rotten run has to end at some point, all signs point to their winless streak continuing in London.
The Broncos are stampeding into peak form, having completed an astonishing fourth-quarter comeback over a Philadelphia Eagles team receiving the second-shortest Super Bowl odds.
They have the third-best defensive EPA per play, the 10th-best defensive DVOA, and concede the second-fewest points per game (16.8). Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph's unit didn't allow any points against the Eagles after the 1:37 mark of the third quarter.
The Broncos were 5-0 last season and 2-0 (if you tailed my ATS pick in the opening week early enough) in the current campaign when favored by at least 4.5 points.
The Jets have the 25th-ranked offensive and defensive DVOA, with the fifth-worst defensive EPA per play. New York's offense scored six points through three quarters against a Dallas Cowboys team with the worst defensive DVOA. Their 16 fourth-quarter consolation points came well after the result was no longer in question.
A similar scenario played out in Miami the week before.
Their defense allows the second-most points per game (31.4), and they only covered the spread in Tampa due to a late blocked field goal.
