After the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets combined to allow 74 points in Week 1, our best Bills vs. Jets player props are backing strong performances by several offensive stars. Buffalo is a 6-point road favorite for Sunday’s clash at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. (1 p.m. ET, CBS).

As part of my NFL predictions for Week 2, I’m betting on Garrett Wilson to be Justin Fields’ favorite target once again in the New York passing game. These NFL picks also include bets on both teams’ top running backs - one of them to go Over his rushing yardage total and the other to score a touchdown.

⬆️ Garrett Wilson Over 5.5 receptions (+104) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It hasn’t taken long for Jets receiver Garrett Wilson to regain chemistry with former Ohio State teammate Justin Fields. Fields targeted Wilson on nine of his 21 pass attempts in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, with Wilson racking up seven catches for 95 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, seven of the 14 completions the Bills gave up last week came against Baltimore Ravens top receiver Zay Flowers, who recorded 143 yards and a TD through the air.

Most of the best sports betting sites are offering plus money on Wilson Over 5.5 receptions. The +104 odds at FanDuel represent a 49% probability and give us a chance to profit $10.40 on a $10 wager.

⬆️ Breece Hall Over 55.5 rushing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

When Fields wasn’t throwing the ball to Wilson last week, he was often running it himself or handing it off to running back Breece Hall. The Jets ran the ball on 62.9% of their plays from scrimmage last week, the highest percentage in the NFL, and Hall carried the ball 19 times for 107 yards against a strong Steelers front seven.

A run-heavy approach makes sense again this week against a Bills defense that was gutted for a league-high 8.2 yards per carry in Week 1. Expect Hall to get the lion’s share of the work on the ground after Braelon Allen saw just six carries in Week 1.

BetMGM had the best price on Hall Over 55.5 rushing yards, with the -115 odds implying a 53.5% probability. A $10 wager pays $8.70.

🔥 James Cook anytime touchdown scorer (-130) ⭐⭐⭐

Although Cook managed just 44 rushing yards in Week 1 against the Ravens, he still managed to find the end zone and added a 51-yard catch and run. I’m expecting him to see a few more touches this week as Buffalo looks to reduce the hits taken by quarterback Josh Allen, who had a team-high 14 rush attempts against Baltimore.

That should include more chances inside the 20-yard line. Last year, Cook carried the ball 42 times in the red zone, per Pro Football Network, matching the total of red-zone attempts he had in the previous two years combined. It’s also worth noting that the Jets gave up 22 rushing TDs last season, the fourth-most in the NFL, and Cook has scored a TD in two of his last three meetings with New York.

FanDuel, Caesars and bet365 were all offering -130 odds on a Cook anytime touchdown, suggesting a 56.5% chance he reaches the end zone. A $10 wager pays $7.69 if he does.

How do NFL player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more NFL odds markets.

You can determine the payouts and implied probabilities for any wager - or convert odds to different formats - with our odds converter.
