The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the Kansas Jayhawks in the National Championship on Monday at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. In advance of Monday's National Championship, we examine the best odds, lines, and movements.

Kansas defeated Villanova 81-65 in the Final Four, easily covering the 4-point spread. North Carolina defeated Duke as a +165 Moneyline underdog in the other semifinal matchup.

So, after all of the hype surrounding Mike Krzyzewski throughout the season, the National Championship ends up being the Roy Williams Bowl. As head coach for Kansas and North Carolina, Williams won 903 games in 33 seasons. He retired from North Carolina at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.

Point spread

FanDuel released some look-ahead lines for the National Championship prior to the Final Four games. On the look-ahead, Kansas was favored by four points against North Carolina. Immediately following its win against Duke, there was concern regarding North Carolina's liability, so many sportsbooks opened Kansas as a 3.5-point favorite.

As the point spread hovered around 3.5 and 4, roughly 64% of the cash was on Kansas. When the line moved to 4.5, the numbers flipped and 75% of the cash was wagered on North Carolina. The spread returned to Kansas -4, and public betting action has been evenly split.
