Maryland has legalized sports betting, and I know that many Marylanders are eager to place some bets on the Washington Wizards. We take a look at our favorite bets for the game between the Wizards and Miami Heat.

Sports betting is now available in Maryland, so what better way to celebrate than to place a wager on the Washington Wizards for Wednesday's game. This seems like a really unfortunate scheduling blunder to not be able to bet on the Maryland Terrapins basketball team on this day, but we'll settle for some Wizards action, as they're just a short drive away.

Here are our Wizards-Heat picks (odds via Caesars SportsbookPointsBetBetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wizards vs. Heat Odds

Wizards vs. Heat Odds Analysis

The Miami Heat opened as a 3.5-point favorite, but the line has since been lowered to Heat -1.5. In my opinion, this indicates that Bradley Beal will play on Wednesday night for the Wizards.

Throughout the day, the total has fluctuated between 211.5 and 210.5. It's possible that injury news regarding Beal and Tyler Herro may alter the total right before tipoff.

Wizards vs. Heat ATS Pick

Wizards +1.5 (-105) ★★★

Beal is a game-time decision for the Wizards on Wednesday with a left hamstring strain, but the line of Wizards +1.5 indicates that he will play. In the event that Beal were not playing against the Heat on Wednesday night, the Heat would be a much larger favorite than 1.5 points. Since the Heat are currently on a four-game losing streak, I like the Wizards catching 1.5 points here.

In the event that you're shopping at multiple sportsbooks for the best line, there's not much variance as Wizards +1.5 is a consensus number. You'll find the lowest juice at PointsBet, which is using a 15-cent line, trading the Wizards at +1.5 (-105) as opposed to most other sportsbooks, which are using a 20-cent line (-110).

Wizards vs. Heat O/U Pick

Under 211 (-110) ★★★

Betting on the Under in basketball is not very enjoyable, but I have too much of an edge here toward the Under to even consider playing the Over. The Heat will be missing Jimmy Butler, who was already ruled out with a knee injury, and Herro, who has a left ankle sprain, is also questionable. The Under is definitely my pick for this game, as I have the total at 206 points, five points below where it's trading in the market.

If you're seeking the best possible price for the Under, you should take your talents to Caesars, which is offering it at 211 (-110). Both FanDuel and BetMGM are trading it at 210.5, which is only a half-point difference, but the juice remains the same.

Wizards vs. Heat Prop Pick

Adebayo Over 8.5 rebounds (+100) ★★★★

Bam Adebayo was listed as probable on the Heat injury report today, so we fully expect him to play and see a great deal of action given the number of injuries to the Heat roster. This prop has a substantial edge, which is why it has been given five stars. Adebayo is projected to grab 10.9 rebounds on Wednesday night, so this prop should be trading at -240 instead of +100.

The only way to take advantage of this huge price discrepancy in the Adebayo rebounding prop is to place this bet at BetMGM, where it's trading at +100. Both PointsBet and Caesars have Adebayo trading at minus money to go Over 8.5 rebounds.
