The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers meet Tuesday in a critical game for NBA playoff positioning, as we offer our best Warriors vs. Lakers player props and prediction based on the best NBA odds.

For nearly two months, the Los Angeles Lakers (45-34) and Golden State Warriors (43-35) have been locked into the ninth and 10th spots, respectively, in the loaded Western Conference. They'll jockey for playoff positioning Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET (TNT) at Crypto.com Arena, with the Lakers favored by 2.5 points across our best sports betting sites.

Tuesday's matchup is meaningful for each team's NBA Play-In Tournament odds, but in slightly different ways. The Warriors are effectively locked into the play-in tournament but could avoid the dreaded bottom half of the bracket, which requires two wins to secure a playoff spot. The Lakers could technically still escape the tournament entirely with a strong finish to the regular season.

Los Angeles won the first matchup between these teams in January, but Golden State has since scored two straight wins in February and March to set up Tuesday's pivotal showdown. Which players will step up in a critical matchup?

As part of our NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday, here are our best Warriors vs. Lakers player prop prediction and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Warriors vs. Lakers prediction

Anthony Davis Over 36.5 points + rebounds (-115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Davis has long been one of the best players in our game, even when public sentiment doesn't hold him in that regard. And he's elevated his play to a new level down the stretch for the Lakers.

Removing Sunday's game when he left early due to an eye injury, Davis is averaging 26.8 points and 16.1 rebounds over his last nine starts, clearing this prop total in seven of them. He's finished with at least 20 points in all nine of those games, and he grabbed at least 12 boards in every contest, too.

Davis' floor is ridiculous for a team that can't afford to slip up, and his nightly ceiling is 30 points and 20 rebounds - which he pulled off just two weeks ago and nearly matched last Wednesday. With this wager dealing as short as -130 via DraftKings, I'll gladly bet it at a manageable price at BetMGM.

Stephen Curry Under 26.5 points (+105 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The market is strongly favoring the Over for Curry's points prop, and this total might even jump to 27.5 at some point before tipoff. I still love the Under here and will gladly bet into this plus-money price at BetMGM at this mark.

Curry sat out the Warriors' last game, an eight-point win over the Utah Jazz, but he's been inconsistent when he's on the court. The 10-time All-Star is scoring 26.5 points per game this season and has averaged just 22.7 points since the All-Star break, shooting 41.3% from the floor and just 36% from deep.

The Lakers boast the sixth-best defensive rating (108.5) across their current 9-2 run, with Davis patrolling the paint and Los Angeles' lengthy rotation forcing the issue along the perimeter. Even with a day off, I don't see Curry reversing course on his recent woes.

Anthony Davis Over 2.5 blocks (+145 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm less bullish on this prop than I am on the other two, as defensive production is notoriously fickle game-to-game. That said, I can't ignore this screaming value at bet365 on what has become a regular occurrence for Davis.

The four-time All-Defensive star ranks second this season in blocks (2.4) behind only San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyma (3.6), and he's coming off a six-block effort in his last full game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. That marked the fifth time in his last eight full contests that Davis has blocked at least three shots.

Davis has cleared this mark in 34 of 74 starts this season (45.9%), but these odds imply just a 40.8% chance that he does so on Tuesday. That smells like value to me.
