With the series tied heading to San Francisco, the Minnesota Timberwolves are 5.5-point favorites over the Golden State Warriors ahead of a critical Game 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET tonight at Chase Center on ABC, and we're making our Timberwolves vs. Warriors prediction.

The Wolves can’t afford to lose another game with Stephen Curry (hamstring) out until at least Game 6. The Warriors simply don’t boast any offense without their legendary point guard.

We expect the visitors to take care of business as part of our Round 2 NBA picks.

🎯 Score prediction: Timberwolves 104, Warriors 94

The Warriors produced a lackluster offensive showing without Curry in Game 2. Their points per possession (101.2) ranked in the 19th percentile. They’ve only put together six games worse than that since trading for Jimmy Butler.

Perhaps more alarmingly, Golden State played 84 possessions on Thursday. That comes after the Warriors played 94 possessions in Game 1. Simply put, this series won’t be mistaken for a track meet.

Without Curry, the Warriors will need to win with their defense, but they're fortunate the Wolves have been missing shots. I don’t expect that to continue, so I’m comfortable laying the points with Minnesota on Saturday and fading Golden State’s team total.
