The Timberwolves made a surprising lineup change to start the season, giving the nod to Donte DiVincenzo over veteran Mike Conley. However, his props haven’t really been adjusting to the new role after he scored seven points in the opener.
DiVincenzo’s points prop closed at 11.5 against the Portland Trail Blazers. But this is a much softer matchup, as the Lakers struggle to get stops along the perimeter between Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic.
The guard averaged 10 shots per game for the Wolves in last year’s playoff matchup against the Lakers. If he gets similar usage, I love his chances of clearing this scoring prop on Friday so much I made it one of my best NBA player props today.
A $10 wager through these -116 betting odds at DraftKings could lead to an $8.62 profit, with an implied probability of 53.70%.
🔥 Luka Doncic double-double (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I found this prop while looking for Luka Doncic’s triple-double odds. After all, he provided most of the offense for the Lakers in their opener, finishing with 43 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists.
What I found instead was a huge price discrepancy in the double-double market, as BetMGM’s -105 value is much better than FanDuel’s -160 offering for the same ticket. None of the other best sports betting sites are offering less than -134 for this wager.
Doncic gets a path to more assists with Reaves questionable for this game. He’s also collecting more rebounds while LeBron James is sidelined. There are multiple avenues to getting this one to the window.
A $10 bet using these -105 betting odds could translate to a $9.52 payout, with an implied probability of 51.22%.
⬇️ Deandre Ayton Under 23.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-120) ⭐⭐⭐
It’s been one game, and I might already be over the Deandre Ayton as the Lakers’ starting center experience. He’s probably practicing his turnaround jumpers right now.
Ayton finished with 10 points and six rebounds during Tuesday’s opener against Golden State. He’s clearly still working on his chemistry with Reaves and Doncic in the two-man game, as the Lakers committed 19 turnovers during the loss.
Although this PRA line has dropped from 26.5 to 23.5, I have a hard time projecting him getting to this number against Rudy Gobert. A $10 bet using the -120 odds from bet365 could earn an $8.33 payout, with an implied probability of 54.55%.
