Kevin Durant Under 24.5 points (-119)

Durant hasn’t played at MSG in almost four years, and star players often play extra aggressively in New York. However, after giving up 42 points to Cunningham, the Knicks’ game plan will likely focus on limiting Durant’s touches.

Additionally, the Rockets’ team total is 108.5 - which is too high, by the way - and I don’t expect him to account for 23% of the Rockets’ points against a fully focused Knicks defense. DraftKings lists this prop at -119, but I would play it up to -130.

Jalen Brunson Under 25.5 points (-109)

OG Anunoby scored just eight points in Thursday’s 15-point loss to the Detroit Pistons - that likely won’t happen again. As Anunoby becomes more involved offensively, it becomes less likely that Brunson will score 26-plus. Brunson’s median point total is 24 over his last 10 games playing alongside Anunoby, and the chance of New York blowing out Houston after being routed by Detroit only adds to the value.

The best widely available odds are -109 at Caesars, but this is playable up to -120.

My bankroll strategy is to treat one unit as 1 percent of the money I’ve set aside exclusively for sports betting.
