📡 SBR Edge: Wemby Makes It Rain vs. Portland
My NBA player props today feature Victor Wembanyama Over 26.5 points (-125), as he leads the NBA in points per minute over the last four weeks. My next NBA best bet is Tyrese Maxey Over 23.5 points (-125). The 76ers were routed in Game 4, and the market is overreacting to Maxeyβs stat line. I wrap up with CJ McCollum Over 19.5 points (-115), as he has been the breakout star of the playoffs and has attempted 19+ field goals in four of his last matchups against the Knicks.

π° Best NBA player prop bet tonight
The Spurs have the third-shortest odds to win the NBA Finals.
Victor Wembanyama Over 26.5 points (-125) vs. Trail Blazers
I usually would look to play Unders in a spot like this - Spurs likely win by double digits, and star playersβ Overs tend to be overpriced after impressive performances - but this line is too low.
Wembanyama leads the NBA in points per minute (1.05) over the last four weeks and played 34 minutes in a blowout win in Game 4. DraftKings lists Wembanyama Over 26.5 points at -125, but this bet is good up to -150 on the best sports betting sites.
Our Liam Fox backs Wembanyama Over 3.5 blocks with his Trail Blazers vs. Spurs player props.

Tyrese Maxey Over 23.5 points (-125) at Celtics
I was considering playing Maxeyβs points prop in Game 4 - he was listed at 27.5 when Joel Embiid was doubtful - but Embiid was upgraded to questionable, so I laid off. Yes, Maxey only scored 22 points in Game 4, but this line is an overreaction.
Maxey has averaged 28.5 points per game playing alongside Embiid this season and should become the No. 1 option today after the 76ers were routed trying to rely on Embiid. Maxey Over 23.5 points is -125 at BetMGM, but I would play this up to -145 on the best NBA betting sites.
CJ McCollum Over 19.5 points (-115) at Knicks
Backing McCollum as the breakout star of the playoffs this season has been one of my favorite bets.
We played it here and here, and it has cashed in three of his four postseason games. With the young Hawks coming off a blowout loss in Game 4, they'll likely look to McCollum against the veteran-heavy Knicks in Game 5. McCollum has attempted 19 or more field goals in four of his last five meetings with the Knicks.
His Under 19.5 points is -115 at BetMGM, but I'd also play this up to -130 on the best sports betting apps.
π Best NBA parlay picks today
I already cashed a similar bet in Game 2 at +330 odds. While we're only getting +310 this time around, there's still value at that number. McCollum will likely be the No. 1 option on offense for the Hawks today, and while I like Knicks team total Under 110.5, playing the full-game Under is a nice derivative of that bet while still getting a negatively correlated boost in the SGP odds.
💵 Best NBA parlay bet tonight
- CJ McCollum Under 19.5 points
- Hawks-Knicks Under 214.5
Best odds: +310 via bet365 (0.32u -> 1u)

π‘ How I'm betting NBA player props today
I put 1.25 units on Wembanyama's points prop - my standard sizing for a player prop - because I like the bet directionally and the line is too low. That said, the number isn't far enough off for me to consider risking more money. If I had a larger edge, I would risk up to 2.5 units, and in a rare, once-in-a-year-type scenario, I'd go as high as 5 units.
