Hopefully, you’ve recovered from Friday night’s thrilling OT battle between the Nuggets and Thunder, because Saturday brings another loaded NBA playoff doubleheader - and we’re breaking it all down with our latest NBA picks and predictions against the spread.

First up, the Boston Celtics face a must-win Game 2 against the New York Knicks at 3:30 p.m. ET. Later, the spotlight shifts west for a pivotal Game 3 showdown between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET.

🔥 Knicks first-half spread +4.5 vs. Celtics ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Madison Square Garden will be electric this afternoon. This will be the Knicks’ most significant home playoff game since at least 2000.

The crowd won't bother the Celtics, who are 34-9 away from home this year. That’s why I lean toward the defending champs covering the full-game line (-5.5) and would take their team total.

But it’s disrespectful that the first-half line is nearly as large, particularly since the Knicks should feed off the energy of their fans. They haven’t started well in this series, but New York should be playing with plenty of confidence. I’d take this line at +4 or better.

🔥 Timberwolves -5 vs. Warriors ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Warriors' offense didn't look functional in Game 2 without Stephen Curry. The team played 84 possessions at a sluggish pace, posting an offensive rating of 96.9. For comparison, the Memphis Grizzlies produced the worst offensive rating of all 16 playoff teams at 97.6.

The Warriors are 5.7 points better on offense with Curry on the floor this year and 8.4 points worse than league average with him on the bench, according to Databallr.

Minnesota is coming off a 117-93 Game 2 win, but the club has missed a lot of shots in this series. If those fall, the Wolves should roll.
