Despite Dallas not being viewed as a threat by the latest WNBA championship odds, our Wings vs. Sky prediction expects a big showing from Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale.

🏀 Wings vs. Sky prediction & best bet

🎯 Score prediction: Wings 87, Sky 78

Is the sky falling in Chicago? At this point, it almost looks like Angel Reese and Co. are tanking for the top pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft ... that would potentially net them yet another big in UCLA's Lauren Betts. If that's the case, the Sky might have the tallest lineup in basketball, which, I guess, is a reason to watch them?

It's been such an ugly start to new head coach Tyler Marsh's tenure, with Chicago bringing an 0-4 record into its matchup with the Wings. And while Dallas has struggled this year, it's in better shape than this Chicago team, which ranks at the bottom in almost every category.

Bueckers and Ogunbowale should have no trouble exposing the Sky's defense, they're allowing the most points per game in the league (94.3) with the worst defensive rating (116.1). That includes Chicago allowing the highest field goal percentage to opponents (47.3%), the most 3-pointers per game (13.8), and the second-most assists (23.5).

Meanwhile, for all of Dallas' struggles at 1-4, it's still putting up the fifth-most points per game in the W (84) behind an offense that's fifth in rating (105.6). The scoring prowess of Ogunbowale - who was second in the league in points per game last season (22.2) - and Bueckers' passing ability should be too much for the Sky to keep up with, even with the Wings' defensive problems.

Chicago is almost as bad offensively as it is defensively - third last in points per game (74.8) and offensive rating (92.1) - and it's as inefficient as it gets with one of the lowest field-goal percentages in the league (39.2%). The Sky don't have the guard play to make this close.

👀 Star prop to watch: Paige Bueckers Over 22.5 points + assists

Bueckers is living up to the hype of being the No. 1 pick and WNBA Rookie of the Year favorite. The UConn product is coming off a career-high in points (21) in the Wings' win over the Connecticut Sun and leads Dallas in points per game (14.6) while sitting sixth in the league in assists per game (6.4).

Over her last four games, Bueckers is averaging 23.25 points and assists per game and should keep that pace against a Sky defense that's the worst in the WNBA.

📈 Wings vs. Sky odds analysis

Despite that the bulk of the action (65%) to cover the spread, we've seen the line move from -3.5 to -2 or -2.5 around the industry. The public certainly believes Dallas is on its way to a second victory.

While it hasn't lead to any significant movement, a slight majority of the action has been on the Under (58%). Sportsbooks opened at 169.5 and have remained at 169.5, and this looks unlikely to change ahead of tipoff as both sides continue to offer the standard -110 vig.
