Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark will not be playing tonight against the Connecticut Sun. Indiana announced earlier this week that the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year is expected to miss at least two weeks after suffering a left quadriceps strain.

While Indiana struggled without Clark in its 83-77 loss to the Washington Mystics on Wednesday, it should be able to get back on track at home against one of the worst teams in the WNBA. The Sun have the second-worst average point differential in the W (-16.4) and are off to a 0-5 start.

In the middle of a rebuild, Connecticut doesn't have the talent to make much noise in new head coach Rachid Meziane's first season. Outside of Marina Mabrey and 36-year-old Tina Charles, the team lacks consistent scoring threats. And Mabrey has been shooting horrifically (32.5%) despite having the fifth-highest usage rate in the league (29.6%)

This offense ranks last in the league in points per game (71.8), second-to-last in offensive rating (91.6), last in 3-pointers per game (5.6), and third-to-last in field goal percentage (39%). So even without Clark, the Fever have far more offensive talent.

Both Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell are All-Stars, combining for 33.8 points per game, and Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham can provide efficient shooting from behind the arc, with Natasha Howard doing damage inside.

Defensively, the Fever have stepped it up early in the season, too - they're third in defensive rating (95.9) - thanks in large part to Boston. She has the ninth-best defensive rating in the W (93.9), the second-most defensive win shares (0.4), and the most blocks per game (2.2).

With Boston protecting the rim, the Sun will have an impossible time driving to the rim, and their 3-point shooting just isn't a major threat (35%). Indiana should cruise to a double-digit win.
