🆚 Who will win Defenders vs. Panthers?
Although both of these teams are loaded on offense, the difference should ultimately be Michigan's defense. The Panthers allowed just 19.8 points per game in the regular season and had the league's best run defense (80.9 rushing yards per game). Bryce Perkins will likely be the MVP of this game if Michigan wins, but defenders like Arnold Tarpley III and Kai Nacua could be the reason the Panthers are crowned champs.

It's the UFL touchdown passes leader (Jordan Ta'amu) vs. the All-UFL QB (Perkins) in what should be one of the most exciting games of the season. While the Defenders are underdogs, they have the offensive talent to score on this feisty Panthers defense and help this Over cash.
Ta'amu threw two-plus touchdowns in five of his final seven regular-season games, including against the Panthers in Week 6, in which the two teams combined for 52 points. Dynamic Defenders playmaker Chris Rowland topped 140 yards in that outing and should be a mismatch once again.
In that same game, Perkins put together an efficient performance with a 142.8 QB rating and three total touchdowns while Taua added 94 on the ground. Both of these offenses are loaded and are led by the only two UFL QBs that are likely on the NFL's radar.
Michigan led the UFL in points per game this season (24.5) and dropped 44 on the defending champion Birmingham Stallions in the USFL conference championship last week. Meanwhile, the Defenders led the league in yards per game (345.2) and managed 36 points against the St. Louis Battlehawks, who had the best record in the UFL this season (8-2), in the XFL conference championship.
This game could feel more like a Big 12 shootout from the 2010s than a spring football league championship matchup.

The last name Taua is synonymous with scoring touchdowns - just ask Nevada fans. Vai Taua scored 53 for the Wolf Pack, and his younger brother Toa found paydirt 37 times in his college career. The latter has continued the family business in the UFL after leading the league in rushing touchdowns this season (6).
Last week, Taua scored three against the Stallions, which is why his anytime touchdown odds are -225 for the UFL championship. However, the +200 odds for him to score twice are a solid value, and I'd even play this prop as short as +170 after DC allowed the third-most points per game in the regular season (22.4).
Another worthwhile prop to play is Perkins as an anytime touchdown scorer at -140 at DraftKings. The UFL Offensive Player of the Year scored the second-most rushing touchdowns in the regular season (5) and scored one in the USFL conference title game.
