Dutch Grand Prix Best Bets, Odds Today: Expert F1 Picks to Win, Prop Bets for Circuit Zandvoort

Last Updated: August 31, 2025 6:57 AM EDT • 7 minute read X Social Google News Link

It's race day as I offer my Dutch Grand Prix best bets, which focus on one of the McLaren drivers, along with two of my favorite prop picks.
Oscar Piastri is the -185 betting favorite at BetMGM after taking pole for today's race (9 a.m. ET, ESPN), while Lando Norris and Max Verstappen are receiving the second and third-shortest Dutch Grand Prix betting odds.
Considering Circuit Zandvoort isn't known for a lot of overtaking, I expect one of the trio above to take the checkered flag.

🏁 Dutch Grand Prix predictions, expert picks & best bets
Editor's note: Picks were made after FP1 and FP2.
Here are my Dutch Grand Prix best bets for Sunday's race at Circuit Zandvoort.
🏆 Pick to win Dutch Grand Prix: Lando Norris ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +110 via Caesars ($10 returns $11 profit)
Norris has found his groove. If FP1 and FP2 are anything to go by, he hasn't missed a beat since the start of the summer break.
I also backed the Brit in my Dutch Grand Prix predictions, not so much due to the momentum he built up before the recent hiatus but because of his experience and the fact that he won in the Netherlands last year.
I firmly believe Norris turned a corner when he won in Monaco. Since that race, he's been the class of the field, winning three of the last four races and showing his pedigree every step of the way. I also backed him to win the championship in my Formula 1 prediction.
Lock him in now at Caesars and DraftKings, as his odds at those books will likely shift to the minus-money side after qualifying, similar to how they currently are at the other top sports betting sites.

🎯 Best long shot to win Dutch Grand Prix: George Russell ⭐⭐
Best odds: +2000 via bet365 ($10 returns $200 profit)
Long-shot picks during the 2025 Formula One season have been about as fruitful as walking across the desert alone with no water. However, if anyone has a chance of rising to the top of the podium and unseating the McLaren drivers, it's George Russell.
I was sweet on the Brit at the start of the season, before the wheels fell off for the Mercedes' driver. He endured a patch more sour than the most sour Sour Patch Kids. That sour patch appears to be over, with Russell finishing fifth and third, respectively, in the last two races.
He was notably impressive in Hungary, where he hunted down sitting duck Charles Leclerc to nab a podium finish. Finishing fourth in FP2 consolidated his position as the most viable long-shot pick.
Most of our best sports betting apps have him pegged at +2000, with FanDuel (+1600) offering the least value.

💰 Best Dutch Grand Prix prop bets at Circuit Zandvoort

🔥 Best prop bet for Dutch Grand Prix: Piastri, Norris, Russell to finish top 3 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +325 via BetMGM ($10 returns $32.50 profit)
I am as confident as a boastful narcissist in backing Piastri and Norris to finish one-two. With Russell seemingly returning to his outstanding early-season form, I have faith in the trio finishing one-two-three.
Verstappen has endured all sorts of issues recently, and I'm not fond of his recent body language. Additionally, the Ferraris were off the pace in FP2, with Leclerc finishing eighth.
With that in mind, I feel good about a McLaren, McLaren, Mercedes podium, with the finishing order for this bet being inconsequential. BetMGM's +325 odds represent a 23.53% implied probability.

🔥 Best prop bet for Dutch Grand Prix: Lando Norris fastest lap ⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +165 via DraftKings ($10 returns $16.50 profit)
Norris had the fastest lap en route to victory last year at the Dutch Grand Prix. Despite his recent hot streak, Norris hasn't obtained a fastest lap in six races. However, his previous fastest lap came in Monaco, a track that isn't too dissimilar to Circuit Zandvoort.
If he secures pole position, he'll have nobody impeding him, which should allow for at least one lap of unrivaled pace, particularly as he's one of the best at holding off opponents.

💡 How to bet on Dutch Grand Prix
When betting on any Grand Prix, there are many things to consider, some more crucial than others:
- McLaren drivers have won nine of the previous 11 races, and they were dominant again in FP1 and FP2. Backing anyone outside of them is a tough sell. If you do, don't put your faith in anyone below Leclerc (25 to 1) on the odds leaderboard
- The Dutch Grand Prix is the second-shortest track, and passing opportunities aren't easy to come by
- The last four Dutch Grand Prix races were won by the pole-sitter, so keep that in mind if you're waiting until after qualifying to lock in your picks
- Verstappen was not happy with his car's performance after FP1 and FP2. Based on the early performance and his overall demeanor, I would veer away from backing the Dutchman.
- I recommend locking in your picks before qualifying as Norris and Piastri's odds won't offer enough value if you wait too long
