Picking against playoff Chaos is a cardinal sin, I know. However, the Archers played one of their best games all season last weekend against the Redwoods and it’s because it was an all-around team effort.
We know when this offense is clicking and especially when it gets off to a hot start it's nearly impossible to contain. The Chaos defense has matched up very well against the Archers’ O in the past, but the Archers have also improved offensively this year, particularly with the addition of Matt Moore. He has been just another offensive catalyst in their midfield. The Archers were able to record those two wins over the Chaos in the regular season because they’re a better team than they were in years past.
While certainly playoff experience matters and as the reigning champs the Chaos have no shortage of it, this Chaos offense still hasn’t been in top form yet this year. Though they do love the pressure of the situation as we all know, this Archers offense is the highest scoring in the league. If anyone’s going to beat goalie Blaze Riorden, it’s them solely because of the number of shooters and possessions they have.

Playoff Chaos is still playoff Chaos, and despite the fact they lost both times this season to the Archers by at least three, their postseason experience and Riorden in the net is going to keep this close.

On the topic of Riorden, more than any other goalie in the sport of lacrosse, he has the ability to change the entire outcome of the game solely because of the number of stops he makes consistently and no one thrives more in the playoffs than him.
He held a typically fiery Chrome offense to just three goals last weekend with a remarkable 83% save percentage. Last season’s championship run wouldn’t have been possible without him in the net. Heck, the Chaos defense is founded around letting Riorden see the shots he wants. He’s this team’s backbone and even the best offense in the league in the Archers knows very well they’re likely not going to put up their usual numbers with him in the net.
That being said, the Chaos offense scored the fewest goals this season with an average of 9.7 goals per game, the only team below double digits. I don’t see this hitting the Over.
