Many believed we'd see the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves battling in the NLCS this year. But the latter has been struggling mightily with injuries throughout the campaign and risks not making it to the playoffs at all. So this regular-season meeting may be the best we get.

Our Dodgers vs. Braves prediction focuses, of course, on the MLB MVP odds favorite Shohei Ohtani and his chase for history.

Ohtani sits at 47 home runs and 48 stolen bases, and we think he moves one step closer to 50/50 with two weeks remaining in the regular season. But will it be a long ball or steal that he records on Monday - or perhaps both?

The superstar designated hitter's performance should also propel the Dodgers to a victory on Monday night, and one of our best sports betting sites is offering a great price on a Los Angeles win.

Let's dive right in, with all the action going down from Truist Park in Atlanta at 7:20 p.m. ET.

Who will win Dodgers vs. Braves?

First pitch: 7:20 p.m. ET, Truist Park (Atlanta)

Dodgers to win (-105) ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -105 via Betway | Implied probability: 51.22%

The Dodgers have stumbled a bit recently (only four wins in their last 10 games), but they still own the second-best record in baseball. Their lead in the NL West is shrinking though after losing two of the first three games of this series. They'll be desperate for every additional win down the stretch.

Los Angeles serves as a small moneyline favorite through Betway (-105), but many of our other best sports betting apps are featuring the Dodgers at -120 to win this game. Therefore, we're getting incredible value through this price.

The Dodgers won convincingly on Sunday night and now send their staff ace - at least among those pitchers who are healthy - to the hill on Monday.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto would likely be among the favorites by the MLB Rookie of the Year odds had he not missed most of the season with an injury. He's been spectacular when healthy, posting a 2.77 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over 78 innings (15 starts).

Yamamoto hasn't pitched against the Braves yet this season, but he'll get somewhat of a gift facing them here in September rather than when the lineup was fully healthy. Atlanta owns just a middle-of-the-pack offense since the beginning of August.

We're backing Yamamoto to shut down the Braves on Monday and for the Dodgers' lineup to do enough behind him to earn a split in this four-game series.

Shohei Ohtani prop bet

Our NEW MLB player prop odds tool can help you find the best odds on any market across legal sportsbooks in your area!

Prediction: Shohei Ohtani to hit a home run ⭐⭐

We're closing in on the conclusion of the regular season, and Ohtani is just three homers and two steals away from becoming the first player in MLB history to go 50/50.

Based on his rest-of-season projections, he's expected to finish with 51/51, and I think he draws his homers even with his stolen bases on Monday (48).

We're getting great odds on Ohtani to hit a home run. And when we run his projection against this +425 price, this bet shows roughly 20% positive expected value.

Best odds: +425 via Betway | Implied probability: 19.05%
