Washington Nationals righty Jake Irvin is one of two MLB pitchers to allow 35-plus home. With him toeing the rubber, I'm backing one of the New York Mets' sluggers to go yard. Joining Juan Soto in my four-pack of home run MLB picks are Oneil Cruz, Matt Olson, and Christian Yelich.

Here is my favorite MLB home run bet today and analysis of why it leads my MLB home run predictions.
⚾ Juan Soto (Mets) to hit a home run ⭐⭐⭐
Soto hit his career-best 42nd home run in Friday’s series opener, which is also the third-most in Mets franchise history. He is now four home runs shy of tying Pete Alonso’s 46 home runs (2023) for second place.
Soto has a great chance of improving on his career year and cashing this best home run prediction when facing Irvin, who has allowed the second-most home runs of any pitcher this season (35).
The numbers suggest Irvin has done well against current Mets hitters, holding them to a .224/.287/.403 slash line in 134 at-bats. But Irvin has only faced Soto eight times, with the lefty taking him deep once.
And Irvin has had trouble keeping left-handed hitters in the ballpark all season, allowing 23 of his 35 home runs in that split.
Soto has followed up a 1.009 OPS in August with an even better 1.130 OPS in September. Given that 20% of the Mets' hits off Irvin have been home runs, the lefty’s 24.04% implied odds to go yard are enticing.
