It's time to cash a couple of my best home run predictions today and kick July off with a bang. I'm targeting rookie stud Colson Montgomery and Shohei Ohtani today to get the job done, as well as teammate Kyle Tucker. Dodger Stadium is just begging for a handful of long balls tonight - let's dive into my best MLB home run picks.

Home run pick: Colson Montgomery (+255)
Montgomery cooled off a bit in June, but if his last game is any indication, he's ready to get right back on that horse. Monty has faced Slade Cecconi just twice in his career, and he's homered once off him. Midway through the season, Cecconi has already been barrelled 22 times - in 2024, he had 26 through the entire season. Fire up the rookie at +255 and let's cash here.

Home run pick: Shohei Ohtani (+190)
Ohtani is prime for positive regression after going hitless (0-for-5, 2 Ks) last night in Oakland. He won't stay quiet for consecutive games, and returning to the familiar, hitter-friendly July conditions of Dodger Stadium gives his fly-ball metrics an immediate boost. We've seen 128 homers out of Dodger Stadium this season, the most in baseball, and with Ohtani owning a .748 xSLG against Vasquez, you better believe we'll see another tonight.

Home run pick: Freddie Freeman (+320)
If the Dodgers take down the Padres tonight, Freeman will have his fingerprints all over the W. The Canadian is 5-for-9 with three doubles and a .889 SLG against Vasquez, with 12 of his 14 homers coming off fastballs. The Padres right-hander is a fastball-dominant pitcher, and Freeman loves teeing off on righties, too, owning a .955 OPS against them this year. Let's see one go over the fence tonight, shall we?
