The Huskies visit the Beavers in a Pac-12 showdown on Saturday, and our best Washington vs. Oregon State prediction is based on the best NCAAF odds from our best sports betting apps.

Despite their undefeated record, the Washington Huskies are on the outside looking in when it comes to the College Football Playoff. They sport three wins over teams that were ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game, including a statement 36-33 victory over now-sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks in Week 7.

Meanwhile, the Oregon State Beavers - who own an 8-2 record - haven't been toppled at home all season. They have an average margin of victory of 27.2 points and boast a 5-1 record against the spread in those games.

Washington vs. Oregon State prediction: Week 12

Michael Penix Jr. Under 318.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

The Beavers are a different team at home than on the road. They’re allowing just 201 passing yards per game in Corvallis, but they allow 241 per contest throughout the season.

Penix Jr. has passed every test this season, yet it’s asking a lot of him to throw for nearly 320 yards in this game. The Huskies are averaging the fifth-most points per game, yet even after scoring at least 35 points in four of their last five games, Penix Jr. has been far from a lock to go Over the posted total. He’s topped 320 yards six times this year, but he's thrown for 302 or fewer yards three times in his last five games.

The Beavers have one of the best rush defenses in college football, so we expect Penix Jr. to be throwing for most of this game. But that doesn’t mean he’s going to find success. Weather should play a factor, with wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour with rain is expected. That may force the Huskies to run the ball more or try shorter passes, resulting in less yardage.

Penix Jr. could lead his Huskies to another win on Saturday. However, in a hostile environment, against a good defense, in bad conditions, we don’t expect him to have a banner evening.

Only three of the best sports betting apps currently have this prop listed. DraftKings and bet365 both have the number listed at 317.5 for a price of -115. Not only is FanDuel offering a higher total, but it is also offering a better price for the under, so make sure to use our FanDuel promo code to get the best value.

We wouldn’t wait to get in on this prop. If the forecast doesn’t change before Saturday, this total could drop to 300. Penix Jr. has had a phenomenal career, but he has had some lackluster performances when the circumstances call for it.

Washington vs. Oregon State odds

Washington vs. Oregon State odds analysis

The Huskies opened as 2.5-point road favorites, but the spread has completely shifted, and the Beavers are now favored by 2.5 across our best sports betting sites. A very slight majority of bettors are backing the Huskies to cover, so while the key number is in play, it’s unlikely the spread will move to -3 before Saturday’s kickoff.

The total opened at 63.5 and has stayed there at FanDuel, DraftKings, and bet365. At Caesars and BetMGM, the number has dropped to 62.5, despite 67% of bettors backing the Over. We’d expect this number to grow as the week goes on, but if oddsmakers ignore the public and continue to drop the total, it indicates they’re very confident in the Under.
