An ACC prime-time tilt between two unranked opponents searching for a win is the primary narrative in my Clemson vs. Florida State prediction.

Florida State is coming off a bye week following its 2OT loss to No. 1 Miami in Week 7, while Clemson's inability to score in the 4th quarter cost them a win at home over Virginia Tech in Week 8. The Seminoles are -5.5-point betting favorites at home in Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., leading up to Saturday night's 7 p.m. ET kickoff (ACC Network).

Florida State -5.5 (-115 via DraftKings)

Florida State QB Ashton Daniels has been plagued by turnovers as a passer but his legs make up for his lackluster production through the air. Daniels leads the Seminoles with 11 rushing touchdowns, while averaging 4.5 YPC.

Unfortunately, Seminoles RB1 Ousmane Kromah suffered a season-ending ankle and foot injury against the Hurricanes in Week 7. This means Clemson can work on containing Daniels in the backfield with less stress.

Florida State's defense is key here with backing the Seminoles as -5.5-point home favorites. They have played poorly, giving up 40+ points to Louisville and Miami in consecutive games, but Clemson's offense is 112th in points scored per game in 2026.

The Tigers are managing a paltry 21.4 points, held to 28 or fewer points against every FBS opponent they have played this season. This includes 13 points against Miami and 16 against the Hokies last week, with freshman QB Tait Reynolds struggling under center.

Go to DraftKings and bet Florida State -5.5 at -115 odds.

📡 SBR Edge: Clemson Can't Cover

Clemson has a 2-5 ATS record in 2026.

Daniels and the 'Noles Blow Out Sluggish Clemson Offense

Florida State holds a rest advantage and a home-field advantage in this game. While missing a top running back is a setback, the Seminoles are led by Daniels in the run game.

Clemson fields one of the worst offenses in the FBS this season. A young, inexperienced quarterback is not going to hang 40 points on a defense that was struggling against better opponents before heading into a much-needed bye week. Daniels and the Seminoles wind up blowing out Clemson in Tallahassee.

Play to: Florida State -16.5

Score prediction: Florida State 33, Clemson 17
