⬇️ Diego Pavia player prop: Under 50.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Although No. 9 Vanderbilt is a fun story, especially with Pavia at the helm, the Commodores are running into a meat grinder in this Texas defense. The Longhorns rank eighth in yards allowed per play (4.2). Worse for Pavia, the Longhorns also rank sixth in sacks per game (3.3), which will count against his rushing yardage total.

Pavia is averaging a steady 57.3 yards per game on the ground, but that drops to 47 when we isolate his four SEC games. I don’t foresee Pavia playing efficiently enough as a rusher to go over this line. He needed 16 carries to tally 67 rushing yards against Texas last year.

Look for him to air the ball out more instead of running into the waiting arms of Texas' front seven. Back Pavia for Under 50.5 rushing yards at -114 (53.3% implied probability) at FanDuel to score an $8.77 profit on a $10 bet.

Our Brenden Schaeffer also fades Pavia as a rusher in his Vanderbilt vs. Texas prediction & odds.

⬆️ Sedrick Alexander player prop: Over 35.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Although the Texas defense excels at rushing the passer and limiting opposing offenses, the line for Alexander’s rushing yards is simply too low. Vanderbilt’s offensive line ranks in the top quintile for line yards (3.4).

Texas’ defensive line is in a similar position (2.9), but if Alexander can routinely get three yards from his blockers, he should be able to go over this number. Alexander is averaging 48.5 rushing yards per game this year and 46.5 in SEC play.

This total may be so low because the books expect Vanderbilt to be playing from behind, but all signs point to a sufficiently close game that should feature plenty of rushing attempts from the Commodores. Back Alexander to surpass a bargain-bin number at -114 (53.3% implied probability) at FanDuel.

🔥 Quintrevion Wisner to score a touchdown (+105) ⭐⭐⭐

Manning appears to be trending in the right direction for Saturday, but that doesn’t mean head coach Steve Sarkisian will want to risk the star’s health with his usual workload as a rusher. Manning leads the Longhorns in rushing touchdowns with six, far more than Wisner, who has just two.

Wisner has three total touchdowns on the year, two of which came against Florida (one receiving) and another against Kentucky. He made a splash in last year’s game against Vanderbilt with 79 rushing and 39 receiving yards, but he just couldn’t find the end zone.

With questions surrounding Manning and odds of +105 (48.8%) at DraftKings, back Wisner to find the end zone. A $10 bet returns $10.50 in profit.
