USC vs. Oregon Prediction & Opening Odds for College Football Week 13

My best USC vs. Oregon prediction based on opening odds highlights one of my favorite early picks of the week. No. 8 Oregon is the 9.5-point favorite ahead of Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS) game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore.. However, No. 17 USC is being undervalued ahead of this contest.
Let's dive into why USC quarterback Jayden Maiava may actually hold an advantage against the nation's best pass defense, while the Trojans' improved defense is peaking at just the right time. It's all part of our college football Week 13 predictions.

Stay ahead with the rest of our early college football picks for Week 13.
🗡️ USC +9.5 (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Both of USC’s losses were on the road by 10 or fewer points, and the Trojans led in the second half of each game. USC has recorded wins over Iowa and Michigan, while Oregon’s best victory came off a last-second field goal against Iowa. The only other ranked team the Ducks played was Indiana, and they lost 30-20 to the Hoosiers.
Oregon leads the nation while allowing only 127.3 passing yards per game. But Fernando Mendoza threw for 215 yards against the Ducks, and Maiava has recorded 234-plus yards in all but one game. Additionally, USC has allowed 21 or fewer yards in four of its last five outings. And while Oregon boasts the seventh-best scoring offense, Dante Moore and Co. have scored 21 or fewer points in three of their last five outings.
DraftKings’ price of -112 implies a 52.83% chance this bet hits. A $10 wager would profit $8.93.

🔢 USC vs. Oregon opening odds
- Moneyline: USC +265 | Oregon -335
- Spread: USC +9.5 (-115) | Oregon -9.5 (-105)
- Over/Under: Over 59.5 (-110) | Under 59.5 (-110)
USC vs. Oregon line movement
I expect the total for this game to climb into the 60s because both offenses are averaging over 38 points per game. However, it likely won't go higher than 61 due to Oregon’s sixth-ranked scoring defense and USC’s improving unit.
With Oregon at home and ranked higher, the initial money will surely back the Ducks to cover. It's tough to say if there will be enough support to move the spread to 10 or 10.5. But if it ever gets there, wager on USC as soon as possible. Ultimately, I think this number will stay right where it is now.
