My USC vs. Notre Dame player props look to exploit the fact that both teams involved in this matchup have produced pass defenses ranking 90th or worse in FBS. The action from Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Ind., gets going at 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC). Notre Dame is a 10-point betting favorite.

My college football picks lean into the passing yardage prop for Jayden Maiava as his consistency could serve him well in this high-profile matchup. I'm also including a Jeremiyah Love receiving prop among my college football predictions for Week 8, and a touchdown prop with +210 odds for a receiver who has scored in three straight games.

💰 Best USC vs. Notre Dame player prop picks

Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️  Jayden Maiava Over 273.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Notre Dame's pass defense has permitted 245.3 yards per game (93rd in FBS) and could be susceptible to the threat posed by Jayden Maiava through the air.

Although only Marcell Reed has cleared this line against the Irish on the season, the Trojans' junior QB has cleared 273.5 passing yards in four of six games this year (66%) while averaging a robust 308.6 passing yards per contest.

Maiava has also fared well on the road, firing 646 passing yards across two Big Ten road games (323.0 per game), clearing this line in both of those contests.

Caesars offers the most favorable line on this prop, 273.5 passing yards with -115 odds on Over. The implied probability at those odds is 53.49%. A winning $10 wager on this prop would profit $8.70.

Our Isaiah Sirois' USC vs. Notre Dame prediction also touches on how the signal-caller might impact the game.

⬆️  Jeremiyah Love Over 22.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While Jeremiyah Love's rushing line in the mid-90s is daunting against a stout USC run defense, I'm targeting his receiving yardage against a Trojan defense that ranks 90th in pass defense (243.7 yards per game).

USC recently let Illinois running back Kaden Feagin get loose for 67 receiving yards and a touchdown on three receptions. Love has not been featured consistently as a pass-catcher in Notre Dame's more recent blowout wins, but the Irish used him that way regularly in their close matchups with Miami and Texas A&M to open the season.

Love has cleared this 22.5-yard receiving line in three of six games. FanDuel offers the best odds on this prop, at -114. The implied probability at those odds is 53.27%. A winning $10 wager on this prop would profit $8.77.

6️⃣ Best touchdown scorer pick for USC vs. Notre Dame

Track the latest college football scores for line movement and matchup info.

🔥  Will Pauling to score a touchdown (+210) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While the obvious scoring threats for Notre Dame come from the backfield tandem of Love (-280) and Jadarian Price (-170), USC hasn’t surrendered a rushing score to a running back all year. The Trojans have allowed a rushing TD to three different QBs, making CJ Carr at +230 from FanDuel an interesting target.

But for the best value on anytime TD scorer odds in this matchup, we’re leaning into the Irish pass-catching corps. Only 10 FBS teams have allowed more than the 13 passing touchdowns permitted by USC’s defense.

With +210 odds to score, Will Pauling is my favorite value on the board. He has three touchdowns on the season, finding pay dirt in three consecutive games leading into Saturday. Notre Dame’s team total sits at a lofty 35.5.

Pauling’s +210 odds at BetMGM comes with an implied probability of 32.26%. A winning $10 wager on this prop would profit $21.00.
