My best USC vs. Illinois player props focus on Jayden Maiava, Kaden Feagin, and Waymond Jordan ahead of today's kickoff at noon ET (FOX) at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Ill. The Trojans are favored between 6.5 and 7 points.
After the Fighting Illini failed their first test of the season by losing 63-10, my best college football picks for this game include Maiava and Jordan having huge performances. I'm also fading Illinois' Kaden Feagin as part of our college football predictions for Week 5.

💰 Best USC vs. Illinois player prop picks
Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬆️ Jayden Maiava, QB, USC: Over 2.5 passing touchdowns (+180) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Trojans have scored 25 touchdowns this season, and nine of them have been passes from Maiava. Though Maiava didn’t throw a single touchdown against Purdue, he’s thrown at least three in two of his other three games.
Maybe the Fighting Illini defense is better than what they showed last week, but after giving up five passing touchdowns, I don’t trust them against the fifth-highest scoring team in the nation. And while Illinois is only allowing 1.8 passing touchdowns per game, that average is greatly aided by the fact that two of its first three opponents were Western Michigan and Western Illinois.
The price of +180 at BetMGM implies that Maiava has a 35.71% chance of hitting this Over. A $10 bet would pay $18.

⬇️ Kaden Feagin, RB, Illinois: Under 56.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Feagin is averaging just 3.0 yards per carry against power conference teams this season. In two games against such competition, he has yet to top 48 rushing yards.
The Trojans’ run defense has been excellent, allowing just 92.8 yards per game. Only one running back has rushed for over 60 yards against them, and that came last week when Makhi Frazier, who’s averaging 4.7 yards per carry, went for 61.
The Trojans are allowing just 3.0 yards per carry. Feagin has already struggled to make the most of his touches, and he’s likely to carry the ball 17 or fewer times for the third time this season with his team set as a 6.5-point underdog.
The best price for this Under is at Caesars with these -114 odds implying a 53.27% chance that he fails to clear this total. A $10 bet would pay $8.77.

⬆️ Waymond Jordan, RB, USC: Over 89.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Jordan has already rushed for at least 150 yards in two games, is averaging 7.8 yards per carry, and has at least 16 rush attempts in each of his last three contests. Now he faces a defense that just allowed 312 rushing yards and two running backs to rush for at least 89 yards last week.
While the Fighting Illini are only allowing 4.0 yards per rush this season, they allowed 6.3 yards per carry last week. With the Trojans averaging 35.8 attempts and 252.3 rushing yards per game, I’m unconcerned with Jordan getting enough carries to exploit this defense, even though his teammate Eli Sanders may steal some touches after 16 carries last week.
FanDuel is offering the best price for this prop. At -114, Jordan has a 53.27% chance of hitting this Over, and a $10 bet would pay $8.77.
