A rivalry that was previously dubbed the “Third Saturday in September” meets a little later in the calendar this year, as I offer my Tennessee vs. Florida same-game parlay. Kickoff from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla., is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night (ABC).

Tennessee is anywhere from a 3.5 to 4-point betting favorite, but I am taking advantage of the best number on the first-half spread as the first leg of my college football parlay. Knowing that the Volunteers often engage in high-scoring shootouts drives the final two picks of my same-game parlay as part of my college football predictions for Week 13.

💰 Best Tennessee vs. Florida parlay picks & SGP bets

🚀 Florida +3.5 first-half spread (-122) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Florida has covered the spread in four straight games against the Volunteers, with two outright wins (one as a 4.5-point underdog in 2023) and two losses by six or fewer points. It has also won three straight games against ranked opponents in The Swamp and 10 straight home games against Tennessee since 2003.

The Volunteers have only played one game since Nov. 1: a 42-9 nonconference drubbing of New Mexico State last week. I expect Tennessee to start slowly while taking time to ramp back up to SEC-level competition.

There are plenty of first-half spreads at +2.5, but I would not back anything under the key number of three.

🚀 DJ Lagway to throw 2+ passing touchdowns (-130) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tennessee allowed a New Mexico State team that boasts the worst total offense among all CUSA teams (307.0 yards per game) to throw for 313 yards last week.

Florida looks to continue a streak of 10 straight games, and 15 of the last 16, of 300 yards of total offense.

The Gators have scored 26-plus points in 10 straight meetings with Tennessee. I expect quarterback DJ Lagway to do his part in scoring with multiple touchdown throws, as he leads a Florida offense that ranks 11th in the country in the red zone (93.3%), scoring on 28 of their 30 trips.

🚀 Braylon Staley anytime touchdown scorer (+120) ⭐⭐⭐

Tennessee’s 434 points are its second-most through 10 games in school history. In addition, its 57 touchdowns (51 offensive, six defensive) lead the SEC and are tied for the third-most among FBS teams.

That makes the value on Volunteers wide receiver Braylon Staley’s anytime touchdown odds appealing. He is coming on strong with at least one touchdown grab in three of the last four games, while the team leader in receiving touchdowns, Chris Brazzell II, has just one touchdown in the last five games.
