💰 Best Tennessee vs. Alabama player prop picks
Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬆️ Ty Simpson Over 2.5 passing touchdowns (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has vaulted himself into serious Heisman Trophy consideration with his near 71% completion percentage and 16-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio against one of the toughest schedules in the country. It's why he features in our Heisman Trophy contender player props.
Simpson has thrown for at least 200 yards in all six games, and is one of four FBS quarterbacks with multiple passing touchdowns in every game.
Thus, two passing touchdowns seems like a safe floor in this matchup against a Tennessee defense that has allowed 29.3 points per game, 5.1 yards per play, and 31 or more points in two of its five victories thus far.
This Over is juiced to -112 (52.83% implied odds) at the high end of the market. But the best potential return is through BetMGM’s -105 odds, where a $10 wager would net $9.52 in profits if Simpson throws for at least three touchdowns.
⬇️ Chris Brazzell II Under 61.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐
Tennessee has a balanced offense that averages over 300 passing yards and 200 rushing yards per game. It faces an Alabama defense that entered last week allowing 4.7 yards/rush (second-worst in the SEC), and whose 81% tackle rate was the worst in the conference.
The Crimson Tide’s game plan against Missouri was clearly not to let then-FBS-leading rusher Ahmad Hardy, who was averaging 146 rushing yards per game, beat them. Alabama held Hardy to 52 yards rushing, but I expect Tennessee to rely on Alabama’s early-season struggles in stopping the run and attack it on the ground.
The Crimson Tide allow just 136.5 passing yards per game, and have yielded five touchdown passes through six weeks.
While that had me wanting to back Volunteers running back DeSean Bishop’s rushing yard total, no rushing props were available as of this writing. Therefore, I pivoted to Chris Brazzell II’s Under on receiving yards, a contrarian play since he has gone over 100 receiving yards three times, and recorded 62-plus receiving yards in four of the first five games this season.
I am headed to FanDuel for this wager, where its -114 odds at a 52.37% implied probability would net $8.77 on a winning $10 wager.

🔥 Isaiah Horton to score a touchdown (+145) ⭐⭐⭐
Alabama’s floor figures to be four offensive touchdowns, given that it averages nearly five touchdowns per game and is facing Tennessee’s defense that allows over 29 points per game. The Volunteers also rank 78th in points allowed per drive, which led me to search the odds leaderboard for the best value play on a Crimson Tide player.
With Alabama running back Jam Miller dealing with concussion symptoms, it would not be surprising to see the Crimson Tide attack Tennessee more through the air this week. Thus, this is a great value on wide receiver Isaiah Horton’s anytime touchdown odds, considering he is one of just two Crimson Tide players with four-plus touchdowns on the season.
There is a sizable difference in value between BetMGM’s +145 odds and the +105 odds (carrying a 48.78% implied probability) through bet365 at the opposite end of the market. If Horton finds the endzone for the fifth time this season, my $10 winning wager would return $14.50 in profits.
My Tennessee vs. Alabama prediction expects a high-scoring game, so there should be plenty of opportunity.
