Quinn Ewers looks to lead his Texas Longhorns to victory over the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines.

The Texas Longhorns are favored by more than a touchdown, but does that mean you should be backing Overs when it comes to Quinn Ewers player props?

Well, Ewers completed 20-of-27 passes for 260 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in Week 1 against the Colorado State Rams, and he could be in for a repeat performance against Michigan.

This week, he battles a defense that was untested in Week 1. However, last season, the Wolverins allowed just 10.4 points and 157 passing yards per game.

What does that mean for Ewers on Saturday when the action kicks off at noon ET from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor?

As part of our college football predictions for Week 2, we also dove into this game through our Texas vs. Michigan prediction and Texas vs. Michigan player props.

Quinn Ewers Over 235.5 passing yards (-114)⭐⭐⭐

Last season, the Wolverines had the second-best pass defense in college football. Ewers had a good Week 1, but he also went up against a terrible defense.

So, why do we expect him to throw for nearly 80 more yards than the Wolverines allowed on average in 2023?

Michigan's offense is going to have so much trouble with the Longhorns’ defense that its defense is going to be exhausted for the majority of the game.

Ewers is talented enough to take advantage of a tired defense no matter how good it is.

Last season, Ewers threw for more than 240 yards in nine of his 12 games. That includes a 349-yard performance against the Alabama Crimson Tide. He’s proven himself against top competition, and the game script will work in his favor.

Not only is FanDuel offering the best price for this Over, it's also offering the lowest total. Both DraftKings and Caesars have the total set at 239.5, and they’re asking -117 or more for the Over.

Quinn Ewers 2+ touchdown passes (-120) ⭐⭐⭐

Despite his great yardage numbers in 2023, Ewers ended the year with just 21 passing touchdowns. He threw just one touchdown pass in six of his games, and he threw more than two touchdown passes just three times. Against the Wolverines' defense, his ceiling isn’t high.

However, we also need to remember that the Longhorns' starting running back last season was Jonathon Brooks.

Brooks ended the year with 10 rushing touchdowns. Without a back to steal touchdowns from him, Ewers is going to have an easier time finding the endzone this season. Defensive fatigue will again come into play, as Ewers throws for two, or maybe even three, scores.

DraftKings is the only one of our best sports betting sites offering this prop for a price of -120 or better. All others aren't any longer than -129. Get in sooner than later, as the price could get worse.

Quinn Ewers Over 0.5 interceptions (+106) ⭐⭐

Last season, the Wolverines intercepted 1.2 passes per game to finish with the ninth-most in the nation. Ewers threw only six interceptions in 2023, but four of those came against ranked opponents.

Ewers threw an interception against Colorado State in Week 1, and the Longhorns have a chance to pick up a huge statement win, so I don’t expect them to take their foot off the gas in this one.

The more passes you attempt against a good defense, the more likely you are to slip up at least once.
