No. 5 Oregon (12-1) and No. 4 Texas Tech (12-1) meet in one of the most anticipated College Football Playoff quarterfinal matchups at the Orange Bowl, but my Oregon vs. Texas Tech player props expect the Ducks' defense to enjoy success against two of the Red Raiders' most feared offensive weapons.

Oregon is a 2.5-point betting favorite despite being the lower-seeded team. Kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. is set for noon ET (ESPN) on New Year’s Day. It’s all part of the plethora of picks in our college bowl game predictions.

Cameron Dickey longest rush Under 17.5 yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cameron Dickey leads the Big 12 with 14 rushing touchdowns. But his total for rushing yards is relatively low at 64.5, and I expect the Ducks' defense to prevent him from going off for any chunk plays.

Oregon ranks first nationally in yards per successful play allowed, and it's also tied for first in allowing explosive plays, with just 3.3% of opponents’ snaps gaining 20-plus yards

This is also a five-star Oregon vs. Texas Tech best bet because the Red Raiders' rushing attack ranks just 57th in rushing success rate.

Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton faces the toughest secondary and overall defense he's opposed all year. Oregon’s defense ranks fifth in SP+, and its pass defense is particularly a strength while sitting in the top 10 in passing success rate allowed, yards per dropback allowed, and opponent's ANY/A.

In two games against BYU, arguably the best defense Texas Tech has faced to this point, the Red Raiders converted just three of 12 red-zone trips into touchdowns. And the Red Raiders were just 50th nationally in red-zone touchdown percentage during all other games.

Malik Benson anytime touchdown scorer (+188) ⭐⭐

Texas Tech held its top four opposing offenses (BYU twice, Kansas, and Utah) to 10 points per game, 3.8 yards per play, and 260 total yards per outing. But the Red Raiders also haven’t seen a downfield passing attack like what Oregon trots out, which the Ducks should use often to avoid Texas Tech’s No. 1-ranked run defense.

Dante Moore pushed the ball downfield consistently while posting an 8.6 aDOT. He's extremely accurate (80.9% adjusted completion rate), and Moore should take shots often while targeting Malik Benson, the team’s best field stretcher.

Benson is one of two Ducks with six-plus touchdown grabs this season.
